Bette’s breath caught in her throat “I’m sorry but no”

“Too bad ‘cause lunch is not complete without an appetizer… but I think this would make up for it…” Tina grabbed the brunette’s face and gave her a searing kiss. Bette opened her mouth so Tina could gain better access; the blonde straddled the brunette and cupped the back of her head to deepen the kiss. Bette wrapped her arms around the blonde

Tina’s position was turning the brunette on that she wanted to take Tina right there and then but she vowed that she would follow Tina’s lead. The blonde returned a dazzling smile and removed Bette’s baseball cap and put it on herself

“Really? You’re not saying that just because you want to kiss me?” the blonde teased

“No but you really look so good and sexy in that cap… plus I always want to kiss you” the brunette said then wiggled her brows

The blonde ran her finger on the brunette’s lips “Me too Bette… I love kissing you”

The two women shared another round of intense make out session before finally starting their lunch.

It was Thursday night and Peggy just finished her last appointment for the day when she heard her cell phone rang

“Mom, are you busy?”

“No darling I’m about to go home why?”

“I’ll drop by on Sunday night for dinner okay?”

A huge smile registered on the good doctor’s face upon hearing what her youngest daughter had said

“That’s great Elizabeth, your dad will be ecstatic!”

“I know mom…um ok so that’s it, just want to let you know”

“Alright honey I’ll save you a nice big plate on Sunday”

Silence

“And mom…”

“What is it honey?”

“I want to talk to you about something on Sunday”

“About what?”

“I’ll just tell you on Sunday after dinner”

“You sure you don’t want to tell it to me now?”

“No mom I can’t say it over the phone”

“Alright then I’ll see you on Sunday night

“Yep thanks mom gotta go now, g’night!”

“Goodnight sweetie!”

Peggy disconnected the call and put her cell inside her bag. She loved having weekly dinner with her husband, Gabe and her children. If she was to ask, she wanted the family dinner to be every night, but her children were living away from her, although she was happy because Helena, Matthew and Elizabeth were all living in the same state at least she could easily go to them.

One thing though that making her sad was her son Matthew. Matt and her husband Gabe had a fall out years ago and hadn’t spoken to each other in a long while. Gabe had tried several times reaching out to their son but Matthew didn’t want to. It pains her to see her husband and son distant from each other and every night she prayed to God to see her whole family again sitting on one table having a happy dinner one day…
