    “You told me that you loved me and you kept fucking him so you could have a baby?”

    There were tears in those lovely brown eyes. Tina leaned down to kiss her.

    “We can do that and also ensure that Helena goes to prison for a very long time Bette. She didn’t just hurt you. She also hurt … everyone who loves you.” Tina wanted to say “Alice” but could not quite get herself to speak of the woman she was now hurting.

    “Tina, she’s Helena Peabody. Her mother is going to buy out the criminal justice system with her money. People like the Peabody’s don’t go to prison. They go to Europe.”

    The blonde sighed dejectedly. “I guess you are right. It still sucks. I wish I could do something.” She buried her head in the crook of Bette’s neck, enjoying their closeness and the warmth radiating from Bette.

    “I think you did more than enough. At least she is not filing assault and battery charges against you,” Bette replied sternly. She still could not believe the kind of risks that Tina had taken for her.

    Tina giggled. “I love you.”

    “I love you too baby. You said there was something you had to tell me. Did you make an appointment with the doctor?” Bette queried, her worried eyes sweeping all over her lover.

    Tina smiled at her concern, brushing a piece of hair back from her face. “Yes, but I think I know what’s going on.”

    “Really Doc?”

    No matter how many times Tina had rehearsed the lines, there was no easy way to break the news. Bette needed to know in no uncertain terms.

    She nodded, smoothing the imaginary wrinkles from Bette’s tailored shirt.

    “I’m pregnant.”

    The brunette sat there with a stunned expression on her face.

    “Say something.” Hazel eyes silently implored her.

    “Damn I didn’t know I was so good,” Bette joked nervously, half-expecting Tina to admit that she was also joking.

    “You are fantastic baby. But it’s true.” She could see the fear replaced by hurt in the ebony eyes staring back at her.

    “I know this is unexpected. I don’t even know how to deal with this. I never thought this was possible. I should be elated Bette that I’m finally pregnant after pining for a baby for so long. And yet…” Tina swallowed the lump in her throat.

    1. I have been desperately waiting for an update on this story. It seems that you have gone in slightly different direction that I remember as your teaser in one of the previous chapters, but I hope that it is going to have all parties happy in the end, and you take a different road than the Bollywood movie this story is based on. Thank you for coming back.

    8. Oh gosh, this pregnancy could be a mixed blessing for them. Tina needs to leave Eric and not tell him about the pregnancy because he will never leave her alone if he finds out she is pregnant. Both of them needs to get a divorce quickly and Tina never needs to see Eric again or he will know that the child she’s carrying is his. Of course, there would be no drama if all this happened the way I would want. So I will pin my ears back and wait with baited breath to see what happens next. Maverick, hope you got all your problems worked out. So happy to have you and the story back. Thanks for posting.
