“A new leaf”
2 MONTHS LATER
Basketball season came around like flowers do in the Spring. I was excited and so was Shane. And to be captain again for my last year on the women’s team would be an experience that I would miss forever. I liked being in control and I loved being a positive role-model for the women. They all looked up to me for everything whether it was relationships, family problems, school problems, whatever I was their main lady.
Practice just ended and Shane and I were heading to the showers when Porfessor Kennard walked in looking stunning and beautiful as always. She approached me smiling revealing her perfect whites. She kissed me saying
“hey babe…mmm…god I missed you”
I smiled and said “I missed you too”
We kiss again. Alice enters the gym momentarily screaming
“damn Bette…that’s gotta be like the 25th kiss you gave her today!”
I sigh and shake my head saying “don’t hate…if anything participate…what’s up?”
she shook her head and said “nothing much but bullshit and more bullshit and guess what?”
I said “what?”
she said ” more bullshit”
Shane laughed and nudged Alice’s arm she said “hey Al,did anyone ever tell you that your a pain in the ass”
she says “yup, my bird tells me all the time”
We all busts out laughing and stare over at her. Tina glances over at me and says
“so, what are you about to get into ms. all-star…congratulations on your game yesterday I must add….you were fucking incredible”
I smiled blushing uncontrollably. I said “thanks sweetie, well…Shane and I were gonna shower and change…if you don’t wanna wait I understand”
Tina placed her index finger over my lip and said “shhh, I’ll wait for you…I’m not leaving without you” she leans in and kisses me
