    A B/T romantic comedy

    Tina smiled at Bette. “Those are the best relationships.”

    “Yeah, they really are.” The brunette agreed softly.

     

    A comfortable silence lengthened between them. Tina lost herself in the observation of the landscape while Bette’s phone chose that moment to ring again. Without really meaning to Tina eavesdropped on the conversation. She could only hear one side of the conversation but from what she could gather there was some sort of problem with one of the art classes at the university.

    “James, I don’t care what her excuse is. She signed a contract, tell her she better uphold it or the University lawyers are going to make her very sorry she ever leaned to write her fucking name.”

    Tina smiled at the commanding tone of voice. This was Bette in her element.

     

    “Fucking idiot.” Bette muttered as she ended her call.

    “Is there something wrong?” Tina asked abandoning her quiet gazing out the window to look at the woman beside her.

    “Yeah. The artist the university hired for Jodi’s place is refusing to grade the students based on the project Jodi had them do. That class is almost over and it’s not fair for the kids. They worked hard on those projects and I’m not going to stand by while they see it all going down the drain.” Bette said vehemently.

    Tina believed her. She could almost feel the controlled power rolling off Bette in waves and she had to make a conscious effort to turn her eyes away. Her mouth feeling dry all of the sudden the blonde picked up her bottle of water and took a healthy swallow of it.

     

    Bette gripped the wheel tighter under her hands. God, did she really have to be slapped in the face with Jodi’s actions at every turn? She bit away a bitter chuckle as she remembered exactly where she was driving to. She watched the blonde sitting quietly next to her out of the corner of her eyes. There was an aura of such peace surrounding Tina that Bette couldn’t help but be soothed by it.

     

    Tina cleared her throat and read a new question from the list.

    “Who was the first girl you ever kissed?”

    6. This story is adorable. I love how intuitive Tina is regarding Bette’s feelings..and how she reacts to things to make Bette feel more at ease. Hope they do some of that flirting they tried in the car in front of their crowd. PPS.

Love the story and so happy that you have a hyperactive imagination and that you love “our girls.” Hopefully when the girls get on the dance floor those special feelings will surface and give them goosebumps. Then the game is on and they will find that they really do like each other. This is gonna be so much fun. PPS

    11. Oh! PPS! I am so intrigued to find out what types of events are going to comprise a four-day wedding. So many opportunities for flirting! Can they reflect back on what happened after the dance on their introductory date? I am dying to know what happened – how did the date end? I am assuming well because they are now at the wedding.     20. Alice is a riot, but it seems she has caught on to the effect that Bette and Tina have on one another. I can’t wait to watch Bette and Tina fall for each other and the side bonus of Jodi having to face your idiocy is just icing on the cake. Your story ROCKS!
