She hated herself. Hated her self for that undeniable sense of victory she felt with this woman by her side. Hated her self for the barely repressed smirk that slipped unnoticed onto her features as Eve glanced at the table. She hated it; she loved it. Tina was in ecstasy all over again, just as she had adored the attention she and Bette once enjoyed for simply leaving the house- just like that she had revealed in the slight twitch in Marty’s face when they arrived together. Each smile, grin, smirk, glance, wink, sigh, comment whatever it was, it was better. Alex had been perfect, she’d said everything Tina had wanted to say but with an effortless authority that ensured her vision would indeed come to the screen. There was a graciousness to her too, supporting any comment made by Tina- even when it wasn’t what she had in mind; Lex had a way of incorporating it into a thought that inevitably won over the other executives and was, ultimately, property of A. Hardy. It was painful too. Painful to know that she wasn’t going to wake up with her, even if they did, on an off chance share the same bed she wasn’t hers. Tina couldn’t watch her from across a room as she spoke or even flirted with others knowing all the while that she was hers, instead she was just one of the peasants crowding at the feet of this undeniable Queen.

“Do you make a habit of getting what you want?” inquired Tina, almost as though it were a proposition as they walked back to the black Lexus they had settled upon sharing for the drive up there.

Alex threw her head back with a slow laugh, before clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth as she pulled upon the driver’s door

“Always” she smirked slipping into her seat and starting the engine as she waited for Tina to get in who had been delayed by an exaggerated eye roll.

The blonde waited just a little longer so that she could throw Marty a wave as she got in next to her; a moment she relished.

“Where too Madame?” teased Alexandra as she put the sedan into gear and drove off at an unadvisable speed.
