The Mythical Season 3.5 – “Episode 16: Only God Knows Why”
Lara: What happened?
Tonya: Her cat died.
Lara: …Mr. Piddles! I remember him…Dana loved that cat. She would always say that was the man in her life.
Lara closes her eyes and smiles, reminiscing.
Tonya: I’m pretty sure Alice suspects me of killing Mr. Piddles, too.
Lara looks at Tonya, intrigued.
Tonya: For the record, I’m innocent. Dana left me to catsit and I admit, I was never much of a cat person, but…when it was time to feed him, I did. But the poor cat fell asleep and didn’t wake back up. Being unfamiliar with pet cats, I just thought he was a sound sleeper…but it finally dawned on me that something wasn’t right. It was up to me to break the news of Mr. P passing to Dana….oh my God, she was soooo devastated, I felt bad for her.
Lara nods.
Tonya: She grieved…for days… I guess she was afraid and didn’t want to risk losing me…so we got engaged. Made the announcement at Mr. P’s funeral and everything. The look on everyone’s face was just total shock. That was just a weird night all around. The funeral for Mr. P…that exhibit at the California Arts Center. Going home to sleep and being awaken at 4 in the morning. Still not sure what that was all about, other than Alice was feeling upset. I don’t know…I was just wanting to get back to sleep at the time. But that was also the first time I realized what kind of bond those two had. When one of them was upset, they would both be upset. That was kind of hard to compete with.
Tonya chuckles.
Lara: They had a very strong bond. I think spiritually, we all still do.
Lara and Tonya continue to understand one another while the rest of the World continues on. At The Planet, Carmen is hard at work, DJ’ing for the crowd. Little by little, she and Shane are beginning to repair their relationship. But when it’s time for work, she focuses solely on that while Shane focuses on not interrupting or being there with her. Babysteps…
Helena’s at The Planet and she watches the action on the dance floor. From time to time, to keep herself occupied, she’ll occassionally take a beverage to Carmen and commend her on her job. Then it’s back to watching the floor action. So far, everyone’s simply having a great time and enjoying the night. Among those doing that are Dax and Leigh as they dance close to one another. Leigh happens to spot Helena looking on and smiles. Helena grins back and then looks away. It hasn’t been easy for Helena since things ended with Dylan. She finds herself pleasantly surprised to have not snapped from releasing her frustrations. Helena’s not the only one feeling a sense of frustration due to failed relationships.

Helena and Tonya that is an interesting pairing. I kind of like the idea. I actually feel for Helena (as long as she leaves Bette and Tina alone) and hope that she finds someone for her. Not sure whay the guys are in there, but I hope that they do not mess with the girls. Kid Rock is good and this song is one of his best. Great update and can’t wait to see what comes next.
Great update. I do think Eduardo is in the closet. Poor Helena she seems so lonely, hopefully that will change soon. Mark may not get all positive reactions from Shane, Carmen & Jenny. regarding his film.
Great update, Kace. Thanks for the post.
I really enjoyed this update & what you did at the end with the song lyrics & the ending of the chapter. Can’t wait for more!
Fantastic update Kace! I love it! I can’t wait for the next…
