    Author Notes:

    Lara visits Tonya while Alice heads to work. Bette and Tina discuss random items. Eduardo and Gene hang out at a bar with a couple of other notable characters. Helena looks on as Carmen DJ’s for The Planet crowd, including Dax and Leigh. Life happens at Midnight in the form of a song.

    Lara: What happened?

    Tonya blows out some breath and shakes her head.

    Tonya: I left her…right after a tournament…in the lockerroom.  …For Melissa Rivers.

    Tonya shakes her head again.

    Lara: Wait…Joan Rivers’ daughter?  I thought she was straight…?

    Tonya: She preferred, “label free…”

    Tonya rolls her eyes.

    Tonya: Lasted about 3 days before she got tired of the paparazzis asking her to explain what “label free” meant.  And by then, it was too late.  Dana didn’t return one of my calls and I knew that was a lost cause.  It’s one of those times where a person realizes just how special someone is when there’s chance of getting that back.  I also knew that it was time to stop playing around with my life and settle down.

    Lara: And now you’re going to be a mother.

    Tonya: Yep!  Of a little girl.  And this daughter is the most important person in my life now.  Are you okay….you know….with all this talk about Dana and so on…?

    Lara: Yeah, I’m with it.  Me and Alice do.  It’s good to never forget the special people in your life.

    Tonya: Very true.  I’ve always wondered, though…I had heard of you, but never really met you until recently.  You were Dana….before me, right?

    Lara: I think so.  Yeah….it was a starcrossed relationship.  We loved each other, but….Dana just wasn’t ready yet, plus I had been pushing for her to come out of the closet.  I thought it was a sick twist of fate that she finally did after we broke up, but….I was just glad that she finally did and I just gave her some space.

    Tonya: …Not to sound callous, but…I’m kinda you broke up.  Because if you hadn’t, I wouldn’t have been able to know her.

    Lara nods.

    Tonya: It’s a really funny story how we first met.  It was at the Dinah Shore Weekend…I was there as a rep and my job was to look after her…keep the crazed fans from groping her.  Also met Alice….I don’t think she cared for me too much, though.  When we got engaged, that didn’t help, either…

    Tonya laughs for a couple of seconds.

    Lara: Well, Dana must’ve really liked you a lot, at least.

    Tonya: Yeah…not the best circumstance in the World to get engaged to, but I was so hellbent on being with her I didn’t mind.

    1. Helena and Tonya that is an interesting pairing. I kind of like the idea. I actually feel for Helena (as long as she leaves Bette and Tina alone) and hope that she finds someone for her. Not sure whay the guys are in there, but I hope that they do not mess with the girls. Kid Rock is good and this song is one of his best. Great update and can’t wait to see what comes next.

    2. Great update. I do think Eduardo is in the closet. Poor Helena she seems so lonely, hopefully that will change soon. Mark may not get all positive reactions from Shane, Carmen & Jenny. regarding his film.
