“Shit” She whispers. 

“What’s wrong?” Shane asked from the door, she was on the look out.

“The windows locked!” Alex says checking it again.

“Shit, where’s the key?” Shane says looking round the room thinking where it could be.

“Who cares” Alex whispers holding up Shane luckily baseball bat.

“You can’t, someone will hear you”

Alex raps a cloth round the top. “No they won’t” Alex taps the glass once and was pleased to feel it was only single glaze, then she taped it hard. The glass smashed instantly.

“Go” Alex says in a hushed whisper. She hands Shane a blanket.

“What’s this for?” Shane asks confused.

“To stop you cutting herself” Alex explain simply.

“How many time have you done this?”  Shane asks Alex who just smiles.

Shane climbs slowly out the window carefully trying to avoid any of the sharp glass, once Shane reaches the ground, Alex jumps out next. When she hits the ground she garbs a piece of sharp glass before they made their break for freedom.

“Alex, what’s that for?” Shane asks nervously.

“You’ll see” Alex winks. They run through the car park and Alex stops at the only one parked car there.

“What are you doing?” Shane says anxiously.

“We don’t want to be followed” She says letting down the tires.

“Lets go” Shane says grabbing the back of her jacket.

This was it they both thought; they could smell the freedom they both wanted so desperately.

“I hope your ready for me girls” The governor voice boomed through the door. “Cause this is gonna hurt you a lot more than it will me” He says tapping his baton against the door. “I just love enforcing the rules on you two” He laughs walking into their room.

He didn’t quite take in at first the two empty beds, what hit him was the smashed window and the emptiness of the room. Their few belongings were gone as well as themselves.

“Holy shit” He yells running out the room. “CODE RED, CODE RED” He shouts down the hall to his colleges.

“What’s going on?” One of the younger care assistance asks worriedly.
