THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD – Chapter Three
The wild and windy night that the rain washed away has left a pool of tears crying for the day.
Tina Kennard could not stop looking at Bette for so many reasons. Because she was so beautiful, because she was actually standing a few metres from her after almost two years of their only contact being via lawyers and because Bette was pregnant.
That sentence was on a loop in Tina’s brain – Bette was pregnant – Bette Porter was carrying a child inside of her. Tina’s brain was in danger of shutting down because it could not compute those three words – BETTE IS PREGNANT.
Watching Alice and Shane touching Bette’s bump brought tears to Tina’s eyes – they all looked so happy for Bette – delighted to see her and thrilled as her life altering state.
Bette looked tired – Tina recognised all the signs – the way she was flexing her shoulders back meant that her neck was tense which was the onset of a bad headache.
The pregnancy must be wearing her out Tina thought as she noticed Bette flexing her knees by bending. Tina was a maelstrom of emotions – excitement, sadness, self pity and love.
The love she had always known that would never leave her for Bette Porter had resurfaced the second she had seen her again.

Alice pointedly looked across at Tina as she spoke to Bette. Bette kept her attentions fixed on Al and Shane.
Are you going to talk to her Bette ?
I don’t know Shane – I don’t know what it will do to me.
Are you over her ?
No – I will never be over Tina – how can I ever get over the woman I worshipped for seven years.
Are we all going to the Planet ? Kit ‘s put some food on and her family are coming there after the burial – how long are you going to be here for ?
A week – I arrived yesterday. I promised Dana that I would spend time with you.

What an idiot Henry is, get rid of him now, get Tina back with Bette as soon as possible, love that Bette is pregnant in this story. Please continue your great writing of the both stories, you are writing. Look forward to more.
What the hell is it with some men (not all as I have met some nice men in my 26 years) who think being annoying is cute? If any of my old boyfriends from way back when had pinched my ass in public I probably would’ve broken their hand.

I felt so sad reading this, yet happy, that just maybe if they’re paths could cross, the love they have for each other would take care of the rest. Hopefully, it will, and knowing you, we know we won’t be disappointed. Love how she didn’t know Helena yet. Henry, OMG, too much to say, just has to go. So can’t wait for your next update, on both stories.
First I am loving this story. But I just have one thing to say I really hope that you make tina relaizes she also played a part in thier demise as a couple way before the affair. Alot of fanfic tend to portray tina as this perfect angelic being and Bette as an heartless orge. Let’s face it if she was so perfect, why did bette have an affair? Looking forward to the next chapter.

So they smile through the tears. Are you making referrence to the grand Hollywood style of the 30s, 40s, and 50s known as “weepers”? I think your story rather feels like a weeper, at least so far.
I won’t say a word about Henry… he is an ass!!!!!!! I hope Bette will start the fight to get Tina back really soon. Will T break down when they are back together? I mean she must feel like she was the reason that they lost there son so Bette being pregnant of her son must be hard. PS the smile/blush ending was so romantic I hope you will write more of those little moments.

in response to your comment, i feel that sleep is over-rated, yes i luv to sleep in on the weekends, but i’m not the one who is writing not one, but two totally engaging, cliffhanging stories, that leaves her readers begging for more, therefore, i think one chapter of each DAILY is not being tooooo greedy!!!

Well, Bette’s back for sure. I’ll say it forever, how can a woman go back to a man after feasting a woman. Yet, some do, they must be out of their minds. Ally you’re the best, well, one of the best.

I don’t get it. If it’s Bette who left after messing things up, then why their friends estrange Tina? Just because she’s with Henry, the royal asshole? Why is Bette acting like Tina wronged her?
Okay, I can testify that this author really does need her sleep, as there has been several times when she has almost fallen asleep while we were talking on the phone and it was only 11pm her time. She loves her sleep! Now Ally I really like this new story of yours and hope you take all your readers advice and lose Henry very soon. We need our loving Bette and Tina back together where they belong.

OH Ally I could kiss you (but I do not want to get beaten up by your girlfriend) for giving our girls a chance of putting their lives back in order. The Universe has been off kilter since IC screwed it up, but you are beginning to put it back on it’s axis again. Love both stories and yes please remember to sleep but then put that pen to the paper.

Yay an update…I really like this story…but you know in both your stories bette and tina aren’t exactly happy…so we have happiness come soon it atleast one of them…haha…they are both really great stories…hope to see more soon!
