THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD — CHAPTER 17
After handing Helena a copy of the tape the unmarked van drove off – Helena twirled it around in her fingers and looked at Tina.
“Are you okay ? “
“My legs are like rubber – I am shaking “
“That’s understandable – you did an amazing thing”
Tina unbuttoned her blouse enough to remove the microphone and transmitter – she slowly removed the wires and pulled the battery from her hip. Helena accepted the gear and handed Tina a sweater.
“You heard everything ? “
“Every word “
“And it is obvious that he totalled my car “
“And sent the note “
“Yes – I was just worried that it didn’t sound as clear on tape as it did to me “
“You should have been an actress – maybe we’ll do you a screen test at some point. But that was the performance of your life “
“I feel physically sick “
“You do look pale “
Helena looked at Tina with admiration – it had taken amazing courage to do what Tina had done. To dress so sexily and strut into Henry’s house wearing a microphone and then to get him to confess. That part had not been hard – Henry had sounded pretty drunk – would that get in the way of a confession. Helena’s mind was racing – she looked at Tina who was crying — Helena put her arm around her and pulled her close. Tina rested against Helena’s shoulder.
“God Helena “
“Its over – he won’t hurt you or Bette or your baby “
“There is still a part of me that doesn’t think that he really would have hurt them “
“Bruised male ego combined with booze have got women killed over the centuries Tina. You have to stand up to him – because you can and because Bette sure as hell would “
“I know we should tell the police but – he’s a good man Helena. And I know he loves Mikey more than anything in the world. I really don’t want Mikey to lose his father – not over me. I know that I would do anything for Bette’s baby – Henry really worships his son “

You just made my day. I’m going to shut down this pc cook dinner and watch my baseball team{TEXAS RANGER} play in chicago tonight and a wee bit of Basketball . I love this story.so much. Tina and Helena was so great.If Henry is smart he will leave WeHo for a long tine. thanks
See, if we had this Helena on the show all along then she would be all kickass. Nice mention of the accent as for some reason I absolutely LOVE it. *drools* Let’s hope Bette doesn’t spaz out when Tina tells her the whole story.

This Helena I love and always have loved her accent. She is Hell on Wheels and she could be a fabulous presence on the show as a good guy rather than the beiotch that she is presently. Great chapter and keep them coming. I hope that Bette does not get too upset with Tina for taking on Henry and wanting to go after him herself. Henry does not know it but if those three women, let alone all the rest of the family of friends, ever got ahold of him he would just be a memory. Thanks for a great story.
Well, I have to say they are kind of naive. Told Henry the tape is in the studio? They want Henry to burn down the studio too? women… *shaking head* =P

Did you realize that you have Helena being nice and wishing Bette and Tina well in both of your stories? It’s a good thing that Tina is telling Bette about Henry while she is still in the hospital, because her blood pressure is goin to go through the roof. Thanks — I believe we are too babe.
Whoa, Helena to the rescue. As long as she is a friend to Bette and Tina and not making a play for one the girls she is cool in my book. That plan of the girls worked so well and Helena walking her swaying ass in and telling Henry the horn man that she has the dirt on him was so erotic. How about Bette as Batwoman, Tina as Robin and Helena as Aquawoman. That way we get to see Bette and Tina in very tight fitting leather outfits and Helena in an all wet leather bikini.
Helena KICKED his ass! Bye, Henry, you snivling cur. Personally, I don’t care what superheroines you settle on, just make sure they all get out of their clingy crimefighting outfits, regularly and simultaneously.

Henry will probably try to do something much worse to them now. Tina should still press charges because they are going to need 24 hour body guards now. People who have hatred in them like Henry does, usually don’t stop until they’ve really done some damage. Black mailing won’t work because it’s a logical concept; and the Henry’s rage is blocking out all logical thinking in his brain. I hope they are all kept safe, and Henry gets himself (and Mikey) some help. So loving both of your stories. Can’t wait for the next post!
I think someone should totally do a story on Helena or Bette as a superhero! Anyhoot, great chappy! post soon!

Alley, That was a blast!!! Tina and Helena butt kicking Henry all the way down that Long and Winding Road. Perfect payback for the sad and sorrowful attempts at retaliation that Henry perpetrated. I really aprpeciated the dry humor of this latest installment. Helena was a star and dealt with Henry like a frog catching a fly. Blink and it was all over. Now can Bette and Tina get on with rebuilding their live together and having an event-free birth.
