The Long and Winding Road Chapter 12
The next two days passed in a state of bliss for Bette and Tina. During the day Tina worked hard and spent a lot of time thinking about Bette and the growing possibility of them becoming a family – either in LA or as seemed more likely London.
Tina made tentative enquiries about whether Helena had any business interests in England while trying to pretend that it was her interest in the business as opposed to the location. Helena was fooled – she was too busy trying to work excuses to see Bette Porter who was she was starting to get a crush on.
At night the still secret lovebirds spent all their time at the house wrapped up in each others arms – lying on the sofa or in bed just talking, kissing and laughing.
Bette spent as much time as possible with Alice. They often started in The Planet for breakfast and were still there in the late afternoon. The others would drop by for differing amounts of time but for large parts of the day it was just the two old friends chatting about the past.
“Seen much of Tina in the last couple of days ? “ Alice dropped into the conversation.
“Not really – just when she comes in here – why ? “
“Well my spies tell me that Henry has not been seen since Tina tore his head off “
“So ? “
“And Shane says that Tina has been at the house a lot “
“Its her house – why shouldn’t she spend time there ?”
“She lives with HIM “
“You don’t rate him as one of the most hottest hetero’s in WestHo then ? “
“God no – he’s — well — the only thing wetter than Henry is the Pacific “
“He didn’t impress me but then he never was going to impress me “
“Is he what you expected ? “
Bette considered the question.
“Did you ever met Eric ? “
“Eric who ?”
“The man Tina was engaged to before she met me ?”
“No “
“Well he reminded me of Eric – perfectly acceptable but not a lot of action in the brain department – and too much ego “

Oh, Drama, please don’t let anything happen to Bette or the baby, okay. Sorry you have a new, old bat for a manager. Maybe, it will be okay. Now Tina and Bette will reveal that they have been together all this while, I guess. waiting for the next chapter.
So sorry to hear about the mangager from hell, hopefully it will work out. And, so cannot believe you’ve left us hanging like that. Please, and I mean pretty please with sugar on top, do not let anything be wrong with Bette or the Baby. It may be time to blow there cover though. You know we your trusting fans are counting on you to hold our B&T together.

Oh Damn Ally, please do not let anything happen to the baby. I don’t think that either Bette or Tina will be able to handle another lose of a child. Six months is a little early, but he may be able to survive if he is taken early. It would be better if he is able to stay inside of his momma a little longer. I am sorry to hear about the wicked witch of west becoming your boss. I have had a few of those. Okay, maybe it was me that was the wicked witch of the west. Oh well, I just hope that you will be able to survive. You always can vent here or at me.

Ally – you are awesome and I appreciate that you write even when the work world treats you bad. this cliff hanger is super but please don;t let anything happen to this little one. I hope the inspiration for the Lwing returns at least to bring it to a great conclusion.

Ally, if you care anything about us, please don’t let anything happen to Bette or her baby. She didn’t stay away for 2 years, 2 years of getting her life back together, only to have it torn completely apart………….again. We’ve already endured the lose of a child and what it had done to the both of them; history cannot repeat itself in such an ugly fashion.

Yes, Ally, you’re definitely very, very bad to leave us hanging like that… I guess I’ll have to re-consider marrying you.. Anyway, as much as I like this story, I think you definitely should try to stop your The L Wing block somehow, I won’t survive if you stop writing it, I adore that story.
