The Laws of Attraction: Part 24

    Over
the years Gabby Deveaux had made more than a few enemies in the West
Hollywood ***** and ***** community. Though she wouldn’t call them
enemies because she considered that being a wee overdramatic. She
considered them, at best, to be nuisances.

People who adored to show up around every corner and try to ruin her
plans with this girl or that girl by releasing a slew of her various
romantic crimes over the years. And there were oh so many to choose
from, after all. Gabby was nothing if not productive when it came to
romancing women. The women, they had all come and gone, except for just
    one.

Alice always returned, somehow or another. Of course, Gabby was always
the one who approached her. She would see the blonde and the moment she
did, that gnawing need to have her again would take hold and bang! They
were off like a shot on their fourth, fifth, or eleventh try at romance
together. None of them ever seemed to succeed though.

But the failures each followed a distinct pattern that Gabby had
memorized because it happened so very often. Which is why her first
reaction upon opening her apartment door and seeing Nadia Meirtschin
was to immediately shut the door right back in the other woman’s face.
The rejection wasn’t something that Nadia took to heart, unfortunately,
and immediately she began banging on Gabby’s door like the drama queen
she was born and bred to be.

Sometimes Gabby truly did loathe women.

Opening the door and leaning against the frame, she folded her arms
over her chest and then lifted an eyebrow. “What?” Gabby drawled in a
sharp demand. “I really don’t have time to play with you Nadia. So tell
me whatever gossip that’s gained your mouse like brain’s attention this
time and then please, do me a favor and toddle off.”

“You’re a ***** *****,” Nadia declared, pushing past Gabby and
walking into the apartment she was all too familiar with due to their
countless affairs. She shrugged off her coat and flung it on the couch,
smiling as she began a slow walk towards the brunette while forming a
seductive smile. “But that hasn’t changed how good you are in bed. I
heard you got rid of your chef. Do you want to have fun with me now?”

“I’d rather contract Ebola by having a rusty needle shoved into my arm
repeatedly,” said Gabby in droll tones, walking past Nadia and grabbing
her coat to throw it at the other woman who caught it in something
close to shock. “I don’t require your services anymore, Nadia. I meant
it when I said we’re done for good this time.”

    1. Sh!t… I wish IC would let you write for the show. I’m so sad, but you do write true too life. I can see two women loving Alice, fight Dana fight. Great as always, wish I could come up with something witty to type to let you know how much I enjoy your stories. Looking foward to next week and the week after, because you have me totally hooked on both stories. Deb

    2. I hope that dana will fight for alice but I don’t know if she is that stong to fight when she thinks that she will lose alice I just hope that someone will get thought to the both of them and that they find find each other in the end I love this story please post soon

    3. This is an outstanding story. I can understand where both Alice and Dana are coming from, though I identify with Dana more. Gabby was always the real threat to a relationship between Dana and Alice – though so many other fanfic writers seem to think it is Lara.

    4. my god. this reminds me of some of the shit i’ve been through with relationships. except i don’t srink my sorrows away so much as lash out with apathy.

i love the way this is written. i always want more, and that doesn’t often happen with stories. especially stories with drama and tension so thick it’s like a london fog. they usually just lose their edge after a while. but this…well. you’re taking your time with the storyline, and that’s a sign of a good writer. a great writer, actually. i hate when people just throw down their ideas and expect people to understand what they’re trying to get across. it’s ridiculous and obnoxious and just bad form.

and why the hell do these kinds of situations always end up happening the same way? girl meets girl, girl falls in love with girl, there’s another girl, and then the scorned departs.
in both reality and fiction, this scenario sucks ass. why must humans be human?

    5. come on alice, what was dana suppose to do slap gabby right then and there…nah shes too classy….let her heal and she will fight for you probably after she talks to shane, she has to get the strength from somewhere….good story im already counting down the days until the next one

    6. angst angst angst – I must say though – as I read this I couldn’t help but think of Friedrich Nietzsche and of poor dana.

“I’m not upset that you lied to me, I’m upset that from now on I can’t believe you” – how true for her – no matter what you do to make this better between, won’t this always hang over Dana’s head? Can you ever truly recover from a betrayal like this? Won’t you always have the seed of doubt planted?

“Hope in reality is the worst of all evils, because it prolongs the torments of man”
Again – Nietzsche – cause you were so right with Dana’s reaction and need to shut down. If Alice could hurt her, she would forever doubt anyone else in her life and then the hope would only bring her sadness.

But I am a hopeless romantic and need to believe that you work your magic and make this better – so on that note – Publilius Syrus – an ancient roman author
“The wounds of love can only be healed by the one who made them.” So please – post soon and get alice there to talk to dana!!!! They need to make this better. She can’t go with Gabby! And dreiser – stop writing so well that you evoke such a strong response.

    7. My god I LOVE this story!! It’s the best alice/dana story ive ever read! I wish you were a writer on the show!

I hope Dana fights for Alice!! Gabby sucks!

    8. ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’ I HOPE Dana fight’s for Alice…cuz Gabby dun deserve her…Gabb’z a bitch!…Al&Dane – these 2-gurlz r soulmates.they deserve a long life of happiness&the impending doom of growing old together. PLEASE let Dana fight for their luv…Post s0On…
