    The word slipped Tina’s lips, and neither of them noticed. Acting on nothing but instinct, the blonde placed the palm of her other hand carefully against Bette’s cheek, forcing her to open her eyes and look into hers.

     

    The dark pupils in the chocolatebrown dilated before narrowing, and Tina saw swirls of fear and despair pass though the soulfull eyes…

     

    Why aren’t we moving?

     

    Bette swallowed hard, trying to focus as Tina brought her face nearer to hers… The flowery scent of the blonde dazzling her in a complete other way… The world seemed to become a blur, only hazel eyes remained sharp on her retina… Her head felt light, as if she was suffering from a lack of oxygen…

     

    Baby, listen to me…

     

    Soft full lips were moving, an amazing warmth and velvet sensation on her cheek as the blonde’s fingers carefully carressed the side of her face. Bette’s breathing had increased into the rhythm of panick, but now, as she felt how her friend had taken over control, the despair slightly subsided.

     

    Listen to me… The Ferris Wheel always stops at the heighest…

     

    But that sentence was being cut off by the announcement of the bubblegum-blowing woman with whom they had just bought their tickets:

     

    Unfortunatly we seem to have some technical difficulties, please do not worry, it will be fixed shortly.

     

    Shit!

     

    The cryout came from the bottom of Tina’s heart and caused Bette to smile faintly. The brunette couldnt help but relish in the warmth of the blonde’s care. And the shout-out proofed even more how much she cared…

     

    The brunette, who had closed her eyes yet again by hearing the bad news, swallowed before uttering:

     

    Remind me to kill Alice as soon as I am out of here…

     

    As Bette peaked through her eyelashes and met the worrrying hazel eyes, she felt oddly touched, and her stomach swirled in a way that had nothing to do with the height… Tina was so close the brunette culd count the little freckles on her nose…

     

    Oh no you wont…

     

    The southern accent thickened as Tina quasi-strict forced Bette to look at her again, mow cupping but her cheeks in her hands.
