Just as Bette was about to step forward and hold Tina the telephone rang. Tina looked at it and flipped the speaker button
Voice : Tina,,,,,,,,,,,its your dad.answer the phone..
Tinas face said it all. Vomit was about to hit the kitchen floor. Tina clearly racked her body in a movement meant only for being sick. She began to gasp and wretch. Bette watched in horror as she put the puzzle of the rumbling tummy together.
Voice: Tina..??????????????????

Tina: *****.*****..
Bette: Tina dont answer it!!!!!
Tina: ( feeling worse by the second), .I have to ..
Voice: Tina.are you thereI can hear you
Tina placed her hand over her mouth and was horrified at the thought of her dad being able to hear her. Bette was also a little startled but turned to Tina and gestured that she does not answer it.
Voice: TINA!
Tina moved slowly closer to the phone and was about to speak when bet shoved her out of the way and cut Tinas dad off, she then un plugged the phone from the wall. Tina just looked at Bette as if she had never seen her before.
Bette:( wary of Tina but glad she did what she did), look Tina.the last thing you need right now is that ***** calling youyou.
Tina interrupted
Tina: ***** Bette you hung up on himfuck he will bloody kill me now, why did you do that?
Bette looked at Tina with a puzzled look.
Bette: Tina, he is in Glasgow, you know, the other side of the wee pond.
Tina: Bette plug it in I have to phone him back
Tina began to pace up and down as her heart raced and whole body hurt from tension. Her chest tightened and her ribs seemed to be pressing her lungs so much that air was precious and her breathing began to get shallow and fast.
Bette: no Tina..please dont he cant hurt you now baby..I wont let him
Tina looked at Bette
Tina; wont let him? Bette have you been listening to what I have said.you cant stop him, he takes and takes, its how he is

Bette did exactly what Tina needed her to do…help her take the first step…big hugs for you Shortbread…I unfortunately had a monster too…am lucky to have the best stepdad in the world now…I’m going outside now to gander at the 3 feet of snow in my back yard…gotta love New England in the winter!!!
All men are not like him. Thank God. Tina should call him back and tell him if he calls her again or come near her are the girl that he will have a one way ticket to jail, and if Eric try to get the girls he will go the same place.
