The Gathering – 01.97 – Like Me Now? – Introduction of the King pt 4
“Thank you Jo.” Sam said, and Jo said nothing she simply hung up the phone.
“***** wife of mine, are you ok? Who was on the phone?” Shane asked, trying her hair up into a loose ponytail as she walked out of the bathroom and Sam smiled at her wet body. Lord she looked perfect, and Sam had to smile.
“It was Jo; I put a few things in motion, just in case.” Sam said, getting up and looking at Shane, then wrapping her arms around her, pulling her close. She kissed Shane’s chin, and Shane smiled lightly, wanting to lighten the mood, but she just couldn’t do it.
“You always have a plan…” Shane said, kissing her forehead, then her cheeks, her nose and finally her lips. Tasting the saltiness there, from the tears she figured. Shane had rarely seen Sam cry, and that wasn’t lost on her, she felt Sam’s fingers moving along her body. Shane sighed, still, after all this time, loving and needed those sweet touches of her wife. Sam pulled her closer, her fingers moving to between Shane’s legs, finding her already wet, and it wasn’t from the shower. They tumbled onto the bed, Shane on her back and Sam to her left, still clinging to her.
“Sam…” Shane moaned and Sam kissed her neck as her fingers gently pushed into her, Shane sighed at the rush she felt. She needed this, the sweet release, the touch of someone human and someone that loved her.
“Yeah…” Sam muttered into her skin, and Shane whispered sexily and deeply into her ear.
“I love you…” Sam smiled, her palm pressing against Shane’s *****, gently circle as Shane began to climax and Sam whispered back to her,
“I love you too baby, now and forever.”

Marina sat behind the bar at Atmosphere, her chin in her hands as she thought hard about what was going on with Sam, Shane and by all rights, their child. She just didn’t understand why Jayden’s father was being so venomous about it all; Sam and Shane had been more than willing to accommodate him with visitation. The man had thought that was outrageous, and that they were all sinners. She sighed, seeing Jenny walking into the far end of the building, and Marina’s dark mood began to lighten.
“Hello beautiful one.” Marina said, and Jenny’s eyes smiled at her, she leaned over the bar and kissed her woman.
“Marina, are you all right?” Jenny asked and Marina nodded, seeing the concern in Jenny’s face. Marina simply nodded, and she felt Kit behind her as she said softly to
Jenny.
“I’m just worried about all of this, with Jesse I mean.”
“We all are girl, we all are.” Kit said, putting and easy arm around Marina’s shoulders and Jenny just nodded.
“He can’t win, can he?” Jenny asked finally, and Marina scoffed and Kit said.
“He’s a straight, white man in a world still run by straight white men Jenny, he might just win.”
