“We should go.”

            Dana ran into Jayden and she told her how Sam was.  Dana nodded and said little.  She went into the room only Shane was left.  Lara had gone to pack some things and Brian had been shipped out to find a hot *****.  Jayden had told her.

            “Hey.  How are you two holding up?”  Dana ask limping into the room.  The pain in her back was worse.  She was scheduled for an MRI Monday morning.  She was terrified that they’d tell her she’d be stuck in a wheel chair the rest of her life. 

            “Hurts like a mother…”  Sam said trying to grin but the swelling made it into a half sided goofy affair.  Dana looked serious.

            “I know the feeling.  You Shane?”  Shane shrugged she knew now how it felt for Sam when she’d seen her dying on the dirty mattress months ago.  It must have been *****, because this was god awful.

            “When can you go home?”  Dana asked pulling a chair closer to the bed.

            “As soon as Jay gets my discharge papers.  An hour or two.  If not, I’m going anyway.  How did your tennis match with Jayden go last week, I haven’t seen you since Shane told me about it?” 

            “Ok.  My balance is better.  Upper body strength is great.  I’ve never been so fit in my life.”

            “Then why do you look like you’ve swallowed a bull frog?”  Shane shot out seeing the pain in Dana‘s eyes.

            “I have some pain.  Jayden took me off rehab until I get an MRI.”

            “Could just be swelling.”  Sam offered not being a neurosurgeon, she couldn’t have really told her what was wrong.  But it was a good shot in the virtual dark.  As an ER doc you got to learn a little bit about everything.

            “Or could be I’ll never play again.”  Dana admitted then she changed the subject.  “Did you guys hear?  They are doing an open casting call for that show, Earthlings?  I think I’ll go be an actress, whatcha think?”

            “I think it’s a match made in Rob Zombie *****.”  Shane stated, sending them into a fit of laughter.
