The Gathering 01.37 – How Do We Deal? Pt 1 – Ordinary Day

                Jayden was empathetic,
    because
Sam had lost so much in
her life, and now this.  Sam
was slowly rebuilding her life with building blocks, and someone went and
knocked them back down.  Poor Sam,
    Jayden thought.

                Marty Summers came
into the waiting room and saw
    Sam,
he went over and hugged her.  She
shuddered under his strong touch, but she didn’t cry.  Marty hugged her harder and he

                “Jesus
    Willow
    .
Never heard of every cloud has a silver lining?  You just do the opposite of that don’t
you?”  He held her tight and she just
hugged him back, Sam‘s eyes vacant of
emotions.  Jayden thought that the mere
sight of her would be too much for Sam to bear,
looking into the same eyes of the woman you once loved.  She stood and was about to leave the room.

                “Sami?”  Larry
    Gladman
said from the door.  He was one of the few people that called her Sami,
    and she never corrected him.

                “Hey Lar.”

                “I’ve got some
updates.”  He stood, having to give some
hard news to a woman who’d had a life time of hard news.  Jayden froze.

                “Alice
is fine, a few broken ribs and a mild concussion.  Tina  Bette
had a badly sprained wrist and some bumps and bruises.  Kit will be
off her feet for a while, the femur was broken and you placed the hip before
anything serious could happen.  Lara  There was
a lot of bleeding, but nothing else was damaged, but it was touch and go for a
    long time.  Dana
is still in critical condition, I don’t know if she’ll ever regain the use of
    her legs Sami.
    Marina  He stopped and Sam
closed her eyes, poor Dana she thought.  Larry juggled
the clip board, looking for her other friends.
    woke up
and she has amnesia, it might be temporary, or it might be permanent, we’ll
    have to wait and see.
    barely pulled through surgery.
had a mild concussion too, and is raving about the driver and pressing
    charges.”

“Sam.”  Marty said she realized he was here in his
    official capacity as a shrink.

                “Oh *****…”  Sam
turned away gritting her teeth kicking a chair, it skirted across the cheap
    linoleum floor.

                “Jenny
is still in critical condition; and she’s on life support.  Her family will need to decide what to
    do.”  Sam
    sighed as did Jayden.

    1. Phew I was just thinking these women are like family it would kill them if one of them died. Thank God its the Wolffe!!!(I know this sounds bad, but you know what I mean)

    2. My god J, you got me all worked up just to find out fucking francesca is the dead one. I got give it to you girl, you’ve got major dramatatic talents. I really love that, but I’m really happy that you let my beloved Shane live. And now it’s up to Sam to tell her that one “big” word. I hope the rest of the gang is going to be ok. I feel really sorry for Dana, must be horrific as an athlete to have this kind of injury.

    3. Jenny had me going. Thought you killed her off. Don’t know if the funeral was Sam’s first time telling Shane that she loved her but enjoyed how she just said it so casually as if those words came out her mouth everyday – priceless.
