    Author Notes:

    A note, a confession, a kiss?

     

    “I guess I blacked out when I heard the news. I don’t remember much except that I woke up in a hospital bed with a big bump on my head. I’m ok though, just a little sore. Dr. Lanerd was very sweet, he personally treated me and even checked on me occasionally to make sure I was alright.”

     

    Eric immediately felt a surge of jealousy and even wondered if Tina purposely stressed her interaction with the Dr. to make him feel bad.

     

    “That is his job Tinahe is a doctor.”

     

    “Yes, he is a doctor. However, he is a visiting doctor from LA who is only there to treat my father and to recommend moving him to LA as well. So NO his job was not to treat me. He did it on his own.”

     

    Eric wasn’t sure if it was the lack of sleep but the room was spinning and he could feel the heat rising in his face. He tried as hard as he could to maintain though. This indeed was not the right time or place to get into it. He bit his tongue and walked away finding seat in the living room he flipped on the TV and tried to drown out Tina’s voice in the other room.

     

    “Hmmph, well he obviously woke up on the wrong side of the bed dear. Tina could I get you some coffee? You look awfully tired.”

     

    “Coffee would be great.” She notices an envelope sitting on the table with her name on it in handwriting she doesn’t recognize.

     

    “Momwhat’s this?” She reaches for the envelope.

     

    “Oh dear, I almost forgot. A friend of yours stopped by a few minutes before you arrived. She was looking for you and I told her you were at the hospital. She left this note for you. I’m so sorry dear, I completely forgot.”

     

    Tina opened the envelope and pulled out a small piece of colorful stationary featuring a large B at the top.

     

     

     

    Tina,

     

    I was worried so I decided to come and check on you. I hope this note finds you well. I met your mother, what a nice lady. She told me you were at the hospital still. I have already been there hoping to see you but I was told that only family could go up to that floor. I know you’re busy T, but please give me a call and let me know you’re alright. I need to talk to you about last night.

    14. OF COURSE, continue this story. It is great and may I ask a favor, please get rid of Eric and make Tina’s mother back off. The bible thumpers really bother me in these stories. Hope I never have to face any, I just might lose my cool and tell them off. Thanks for the post.
