The big deal – Ch 3 part I
“Well, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be unkindly, you can easily drink your scotch whiskey if you desire, but if you really want to wash away your sadness you have to trust me and drink what I’ll offer to you!” the women sat on the stool bar near Dana and she smiled again in a confident and calm way.
Dana smiled shyly and slightly reclined her head on her right shoulder, she immediately felt better after that warm voice caressed her heart. “You don’t like scotch I guess and what else?” She finally decided to talk and behave as a normal person. Dana realized how elegant and self confident that woman was and she immediately felt attracted by her in a strange way.
“So many things, but most of all I don’t like sadness so my duty is to fight hardly against it” she moved her fist in the air and called the bartender.
“So you don’t like me!” Dana said softly
“I don’t like you being sad. So, deal?” she asked with a particular shine in her eyes which seemed to illuminate all around her.
“Should I let you try to wash away sadness ? “ Dana asked tenderly
“Well… at least leave your rude scotch whiskey and taste my proposal.” The woman talked while staring at Dana deeply, loosing her brown eyes in Dana’s detached blue eyes. It seemed as her staring could carry Dana back into life. It seemed as her brown burning hearth could light up the cold ocean in which Dana was lost.
“If you look at me like that I guess I can’t decline your offer! Anyway I like proposals when talking about new experiences!” Dana didn’t know what was going on exactly. She never met that brunette before and she couldn’t understand why she experienced such a nice sensation enjoying her presence.
The stranger rocked her head a bit and chuckled happy. She called the bartender with a silky voice. “Can you please forget that lady request and bring us a white wine? I’d like it in a wine cooler and I’ll uncork it personally if you don’t mind!” The bartender nodded regardful and asked if she wanted her usual choice of wine.
“Yes please, Dave. I need two iced glasses too, crystal glasses Dave… “She smiled widely and looked directly into Dave’s eyes making him looking away embarrassed.
“Do you come often in here? “Dana asked curiously.
“Yes, I do. I like a lot the sight from the roof garden. Anyway I like coming here at sunset and relax gorging of lights and feelings!” She answered kindly and showed a sweet and romantic part of her complex nature.
“For me it is the first time in here, I’m here because my friend organized the party otherwise I’d never been here probably!”
“That would have been a shame! “ the woman laughed radiating an aura of charming warm. That good cheer started to be contagious.
“You’re right, that’s a wonderful party!” She couldn’t say that the shame would have been do not meet her, but that was exactly what she felt.
“Where is your friend now? Or is he a boyfriend?” the stranger asked clearly. Dana was astonished, she couldn’t believe the brunette didn’t understand she wasn’t straight, wasn’t she flirting with her?
“Absolutely not… she is Bette Porter. She organized the happening!“ Dana proved to be grumpy.
“Well, I’m sorry. Probably I should know who Bette Porter is, but I’m not from LA and I’m not so well introduced yet!” the stranger smiled again and rocked her shoulder in order to make clear that she didn’t mind about Dana being harsh.
