The big deal – Ch 3 part I

“You’re right Helena, yeah. But I’ll have some more dancing instead!” Alice looked with anger at Dane and turned away to reach the deep heart of the crowd, moving her arms above her blonde head.

“Ok, I’ll dance a bit more if you don’t mind Dana. I really like that music. I need to remember asking Carmen for some compilations”. Helena left Dana where she stood and followed Alice weaving arms and hands in the multiple lights moving over the dancer’s heads. Dana looked at the moving human jungle near her and at the lights fighting together with the sound, a sort of rising sadness caught her while suddenly air seemed to be dense and dark. She walked to the bar in order to have the fuel she desired.

“Give me a scotch whiskey please!” Dana asked sadly her drink while sitting on a dark red bar stool.

The lunch counter was a sort of isle made of glass at the edge of a troubled sea where soft lights came from underneath. Big white and copper wax candles were on the corners and green tea incense was burning a soft scent in the air. Glasses and ice were dancing in a sort of voluptuous struggle with multicoloured types of alcohol. Dana was waiting for her drink with her hands resting on the glass table while she felt someone arriving quickly near her, but she didn’t care. She didn’t because she was already fighting with tears and pieces of herself trying to fall apart.

“Nobody deserves to be so sad during a party as you are tonight, even if orders a silly scotch!” the voice was a beautiful feminine voice with low tones and an incredibly warm timber. Dana tried to ignore it, but she just couldn’t avoid to notice the shiver she felt hearing that hot stranger accent. She turned right and finally saw a tall beautiful brunette with a black elegant dress who was smiling wide to her.  She didn’t understand exactly her words because she just tried to understand how that voice reached her so deeply without any warning. Better she didn’t exactly understand the meaning of her words because she was trying to focus her attention on the beautiful lady near her. Dana looked at her silently for a while.
