    Chapter 15

     

    Bette had meetings all morning and for a few hours she managed not to think of Tina.  With the late night she had yesterday and the long meetings she had this morning she was feeling exhausted. She walked back to her office and decided to lie down on the leather couch in her office.

    Staring at the ceiling thoughts of Tina raced through her mind again.

    She so desperately wanted to approach Tina, maybe talk to her, take her out to dinner; she wanted to explore these feelings she was having for Tina. Bette wanted to find out if it was just a friendship she wanted to have with the blonde or something more.

    Bette was afraid.

    ‘Yup, I’m a damn coward’ Bette said out loud.

    She took a deep breath closed her eyes and before she knew it, exhaustion had taken over and she fell a sleep.

     

    Tina was running late she had a production meeting with members of her new staff and it had gone over and now she was driving like a mad woman to meet up with her friends, she had agreed the night before to pick up Shane and Alice for lunch, as she stopped in front of the offices of the magazine she noticed that Shane and Alice were not out front, she flipped her phone open and dialed Shane’s number.

    “Hi Tina” Shane promptly greeted her

    “Hey Shane, did I get my signals crossed are we still meeting for lunch today?” Tina asked

    “Hey we left you a message at your office, our meeting ended a little early so we thought we meet you at the plant instead”

    “Mine was running late so I didn’t stop by to pick up my messages from Lisa came straight here”

    “Awe man Tina sorry” Shane said

    “Are you still going to try and make it?”

    “I should be able to stop by, Shane?”

    “Yeah?”

    “I think I lost one of my earrings at the launch party, do you know who I would need to talk to, and I want to see if maybe the cleaning crew found it”

    “Yeah Tina check with either James or Allison they would know”

    “Allison should still be there if you run to Bette’s office you might just catch her before she heads out to lunch”

    2. I’ve really missed your regular updates to this story…so I hope you are back writing again! :) First Bette was running and now Tina is… I’m looking forward to a long overdue discussion. PPS

    4. My heart is pounding…… Bette needs to know what she wants; she cannot make love to the magazines. She needs to get Tina, she needs to be open and honest about her feelings to Tina. Great storyline. PPS

    5. I hope bette finally tells tina her feelings. clearly, tina feels the same way but is trying to fight it off…the earring is just the lure…hope bette uses it…

    9. I’m so happy you posted this! Tina feels the same way about Bette, but she’s keeping her guard up because of the way she was treated before. Bette needs to step up!! PPS

    10. Hope Bette runs to her car and goes to the Planet to tell Tina how she really feels, in front of all her friends, its about the appropriate gesture to let Tina know she’s serious! If anything please have them actually talk! PPS:) Love this story!

    13. We sooooo need more of this story. Bette just needs to be honest with herself and Tina. Maybe she needs to start sweeping her off her feet…thanks for the update and please….post very, very soon.
