    A Bette and Tina Story: 8 or 9 years after Season 2. Tina introduces Lottie to The Planet and Bette and Tina talk about webcams!

    Tina stood up and straightened herself out, taking a deep breath. Despite everything she knew nowadays she still managed to get nervous at her own abilities. She conjured up that same old image in her mind of Bette’s smile, encouraging her on, and strode forwards to open the door. Then there it was, alarmingly, the image of Bette’s smile greeting her.

    Lottie walked forwards wearing a nervous expression. “Hello, I’m Charlotte Mitchell, you must be Dr Kennard?”

    Tina shook her hand “Hi, Tina … please call me Tina.”

    Lottie smiled, “Then I’m Lottie, if that’s okay?”

    Tina smiled, her startle gone, “Of course, come in and take a seat.”

     

     

     

     

     

    Chapter Two.

     
    An hour later they walked out of Tina’s office.

    “So, do you think you can handle all of that?” Tina asked.

    “Sure, I mean the paperwork should be no problem, I’ve dealt with accounting and legal papers before, I understand privacy and confidentiality and well, … organisation just happens to be my thing.” She said, grinning.

    Tina laughed and said “I bet.” thinking back to the ‘example file’ she’d given her to look over, which was returned in a shockingly pristine condition with not a single letter or test sheet out of place.

    “So, where do you go for lunch around here?” Lottie asked.

    “My sister-in-law owns a place around the corner, usually I just go there,” said Tina. “It helps when I am ‘not’ organised and leave the house without my purse in the morning.” She grinned, raising her eyebrows skywards in amusement at herself. “I may have you run a few more ‘personal’ errands for me whilst you’re working with me, if that’s okay with you?”

    “Sure.”

    There was a pause.

    “Your family don’t mind you giving up your entire summer vacation to do work experience?” Tina asked.

    Lottie was quiet for a moment. They had arrived at the door to the café and Tina came to a halt, looking at her inquisitively. She gestured for Lottie to go inside, walking ahead she stopped to glance behind her, sighing, “my family don’t know” she said walking inside.

    All afternoon Tina had wanted to ask her what she meant. Her antennae had sprung up the second she’d hesitated to give out an answer. There was something about her, something mysterious, and Tina still couldn’t shake that feeling she’d had when they first met, that feeling that she’d seen that same smile thousands of times before, but now wasn’t the right time. Now was the time to get her started on the mountain of paperwork they didn’t dare give Ruby.

    1. First off glad to hear that you have no intention of Lottie making a play for one of our girls. But somethings definitly amiss. She’s hiding something, wonder if she’s somehow related to Bette? Web cam, for B&T could be very dangerous

    3. Please don’t tell me that Lottie is somehow Bette’s child. I read the forward like 3 times and everytime I read it I think she’s Bette’s long lost forgotten daughter. Please post ASAP!!!!!

    7. Bette’s long lost daughter… or Bette’s long lost half-sister by her missing mother and Lottie’s dad? Will we find out what happened to good old mom?

    10. My first thought was half-sister till I remembered the age gap. That doesn’t mean it’s not possible though. Eh, it doesn’t really matter. PPS!

    15. I think she is Bette sister, I’m sure bette would know if she has a kid. Man I hate when there be secrets in a story and you sitting on edge to find what happen and you just wanna skip chapters to get there already
