    Scent

    What can I say except that I am not your typical kind of girl. I have lived in this sort of oblivion for centuries. I am not attracted to people by their physical appearance or their anatomy. It’s the scent. There is one person, one soul, that arouses the animalistic desire inside of me. It makes me crave them like a addictive drug flowing through my blood stream. It’s a love so strong I cannot think, I cannot breathe, I cannot act.

    I have not found that scent for me. I wander around this world for centuries, immortal and unchanging, and there hasn’t been a single soul that has the scent.

    I really have no idea why I chose to live in West Hollywood out of all the places I have lived in, maybe I just wanted to see how much it has changed. Last time I lived here it was Mexico. I figured, since I have lived in every single city in the world for at least one lifetime, I could start to revisit the ones I haven’t been to in a long time.

    I was walking along the dark streets looking up at the sky that was so polluted I couldn’t even see the stars anymore. What happened to this place? It used to be so plain, so beautiful, but now this industrial life has taken away all of its beauty.

    It was only after a few minutes of walking when I saw the flames blazing out of a car. There was not a soul in sight, so I knew no one had called the firefighters or the ambulance. I make the call myself as I run to the scene at human speed.

    "911 what’s the emergency?"                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         "Hello? Yes, there’s a car on fire on 7th street, near the bridge!" I say into the phone trying to look into the car to see if someone is inside.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           "Is someone in the car ma’am?" the operator said sounding more urgent.                                                                                                                                                                                                     "No," I say unable to see through the thick flames.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         "Help is on the way, thank you ma’am."

    1. Why didn’t the vampire just “glamour” Jenny and one other human? That way there wouldn’t have had to be a death and the victims would have had no memory of it. Oh well. Good start anyway… Thanks for the post.

    2. There shouldn’t even be any question marks at the end of that TBC. You gotta continue this, now I’m gonna be at work thinking about this story. Your writing is beyond awesome. Please don’t stop. ;o}

    3. TBC!!!! no doubt about it!! :-) why put “?” hehe.. Nice twisting on making Tina the converter! :-) oh, I hope she didn’t converting Jenny!! If so… Its really a simple recipe of craziness for eternity!! >_

      Tibetter24, you have an amazing talent with words: “I made sure not to over the centuries that I have been alive, and it broke my heart to have to do it now and because of my selfish need” -just great!
