    The space between S1 & S2. Who was at the CAC?

     

    Kit disapproved strongly of what Bette had done and couldn’t understand why she had done it. What she did know though was that Bette and Tina belonged together. She struggled to understand why once Bette knew where Tina was she didn’t rush over to Alice‘s and beg for forgiveness.

     

    Even after being told what had happened Kit thought that at least a phone call would suffice to start to open the communication between them, but Bette had insisted that she would do things on her own schedule and Tina would be home soon. Melvin’s reluctance to accept that things were anything less than perfect shining through in Bette’s actions once more. 

     

    Yesterday was the worst. Sundays without Tina, Bette hadn’t known what to do. She had not wanted to wake up because she knew what wouldn’t be there when she opened her eyes. Her wife. The feel of her skin beneath hers when she leaned over and took her in her arms. Her smile. The warmth of her embrace as they cuddled together before getting up.

     

    Unlike those who are blessed with those few moments when they open their eyes and forget that their world has been completely turned upside down Bette did not have that peace. Every part of her, asleep or awake, knew that Tina had left, every part of her knew why, and every part of her ached because of it.

     

    But she had mostly ignored her feelings. Thinking only that Tina would come back, once she had calmed down she would be back, and they would work through it. She would forgive her because she knew she loved her. She would have her life back. All she needed was some time, and Bette could give her that.

     

    Now though, with her standing there in the gallery foyer how much time could she allow? She couldn’t ignore her feelings anymore, the immediacy of that knowledge increasingly apparent. What was she doing there?

     

    Tina took in a deep breath as she started to walk towards her, trying to replicate the smile she was being greeted with. Such kind eyes. As soon as she was within reach she was taken into her arms, into a hold that expressed everything she was feeling. No matter what had happened she loved her.

    4. excellent update! you were sneaky there in the beginning making me think tina and bette were meeting. then you had tina waiting for her at the house. oh the suspense….i hope all their questions are answered. good luck with your papers.

    7. Just caught up on this chapter and the last. Both were excellent chapters! You have a captivating story here. After reading the last chapter, I thought that the person Bette saw was Candace but was actually hopint that it would be Tina. At the beginning of this chapter, you had me thinking that it was Tina only to turn around and have Tina waiting for Bette at home at the end! Looking forward to the next chapter.
