Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 42
“I thought she was your girlfriend as in ‘friend-who-is-a-girl’ kind of thing.”
“Well, now you know,” Tina said firmly, looking at Julie as if she was challenging her.
Julie stood there, still in shock, staring at her sister, whose arm was wrapped protectively around Bette’s waist and Julie grimaced in disgust, “Tina, I would like you to leave….”
“What?” Tina exclaimed in disbelief and Bette instinctively pulled her closer.
“Julie, I think you are being irrational and hasty,” Bette said, squeezing Tina’s hand, offering her support, “Tina is your sister…you are the only family she has…”
“Bette, I don’t have anything against you…you seem like a nice person, but I don’t think it concerns you,” Julie said angrily.
“Oh…this is where you are wrong. It does concern me. I love Tina with all my heart and when she’s hurt, like I know she is right now, I would do anything to protect her and make that pain to go away. She is my family…she is the best thing that happened to me…I love her.”
“Thanks, baby,” Tina said softly, fighting back tears.
“Tina, I love you too,” Julie said, ignoring Bette, “but I can’t tolerate this…this life style under my roof and let my children be exposed to such…shameful behavior.”
“This is why we came out here, so your children…” Bette began saying, but Tina stopped her by putting her hand on Bette’s shoulder.
“Bette, it’s okay…we have each other and this is all that matters now. I love you…you are my family. I’m sorry you feel this way, Julie…we are going to get our things.” She took Bette’s hand and they walked to the bedroom.
Couple of minutes later they were ready to leave when Steven came out of the family room with a perplexed look on his face, “What is going on, girls. Where are you going?”
“I’m sorry, Steve, but apparently Julie didn’t realize what kind of girlfriend Bette is to me or we would have been gone yesterday.”
“What?” Steven exclaimed, “When you introduced Bette to us as your girlfriend I thought Julie understood…I’m so sorry, Tina, Bette…you are not leaving.”
He turned around and yelled, “Julie…get your ass in here.”
“Steve, stop yelling and be careful with your words, the kids are still in the family room.”

That was awesome and glad Jules is trying there, love this Steven, nice guy. Please post more, thanks!
Excellent. Love Steven. Thank you :)
OOOOOOH NOOOOO!!!! isn’t this where the story went into hiatus? I have been so excited that I was now going to find out what happened. Now I am having an anxiety attack. Hyperventilating. Wringing my hands.Heart palpitations even. Sigh. I’m going to have to find some of Tina’s Xanax. I just hope that Tina left enough. So, despite my selfish whiny stress, I hope you have a great time at L6.
The plot is thicken! Great chapter.. can’t wait for more. Hope you have a wonderful time at L6. :)
O.K. B&TF we can live with a little delay considering that you are at the conference, but remember your promise to finish it this time. Wonderful update. I love the fact that Steve was the non homophobic one…priceless!
Cool Grandmother. I do hope that the paintings and diary are found. Steven is also pretty cool.
Great chapter. Wonder what happened to the trunk and its’ contents? Gonna have to go back and read from the beginning cause this chapter really caught my attention. Have read here and there but didn’t get into it, now I am. Must read up on everything. Have a great time at L6.
Oh, damn! Why is homophobia in the world? This is unfair! *sigh* Fortunately at Julie passed off soon! :o) Have fun at L6!
