Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 35

She paused for a second, checked her notes, took a deep breath and continued, “The costume designer and the make-up department people are all here and ready to begin work. Their trailers are set on the empty lot south of the house. A couple of the actors that agreed to do the auditions will be arriving next Monday for the briefing meeting and rehearsals. Aaron called this morning and told me to let you know that you have free reign with this documentary but he needs a good and solid foundation if we want to launch the series.”

The whole time jenny talked, Tina was watching Alice and Bette who were standing a discreet distance away, waiting for Tina to finish the preliminaries. As soon as Jenny paused again, Tina finally was able to put a word in, “Slow down, Jenny. Let’s take one step at a time. Has everybody arrived to start the pre-production phase? Is everything set?”

“Yes, the crew is all here, including the costume designer who wants to talk to the consultant. The make-up crew is all set for Monday’s meeting, as I mentioned already.”

    “What about the production department?”

“Henry is arriving this afternoon. He had some family emergency,” Jenny looked around and moved closer to Tina, “I think his wife just asked for a divorce,” she whispered, giggling in excitement of gossip sharing. Jenny lived for gossip and found enjoyment in spreading it around.

“That was expected,” Tina shrugged her shoulders, “I’ve only met her once but she was a real bitch.” Jenny nodded her head in agreement and handed Tina the copy of the schedule.

Tina picked it up and then introduced Alice and Bette to her assistant.

“Jenny, this is Alice Pieszecki with the ‘LA Magazine’. She’ll be writing a series of articles about our documentary. And this is Bette Porter, Kit Porter’s half-sister. She’s also our new historical consultant for the series. We are going to check the house to see if everything is ready and authentic. I’ll call Kit later to check the ownership status of the property and I already have her signed permission. We’ll have a staff meeting in about an hour, okay?”

    1. Oh boy, the longer Tina waits to tell Bette the worse it will be when she does. I can totally understand why Bette is having confused feelings…it’s because she really is in between 2 worlds…the one she grew up in and the one that she has come to know now. Neither world will be the same…knowing what the future holds changes the old world that she is from and living in the new world missing (grieving really) the loss of everyone she new in the old. It’s hard…I hope Tina really recognizes that. Great job B&TF…I love this story!

    2. Tina should have told her before making love to Bette the first time. :) I know drama :) but it’s going to bite her in the butt big time.

    3. Oh man this story just gets better! They both have so much to talk about! Hopefully they’ll get to it sooner than later. Thanks for the update

    4. Poor Bette, Christina or Tina, Christina or Tina. A hard choice but in reality it is Christina who is apart of Tina, so I say pick Tina. Besides Christina is married and well Tina is single and madly in love with Bette.
