“This is great – I want this for my birthday “ Angie decided

“Well sit down and I’ll go and help Tina “

Bette walked into the kitchen – Tina was putting some candles on a giant cake

“Hey there “

“You aren’t supposed to see the cake – Angie is supposed to keep you in there”

“Too late – you should try feeding your daughter “

“Is she eating already ?”

“No but she’s close -this is fantastic Ti – thanks “

Tina turned and saw the Levis

“Give me the 360 degree view “ she instructed

Bette turned round very slowly

“They still fit you so well “

“Like ?”

Tina shook her head “You know – all the time we were apart – all you had to do was to turn up wearing those jeans and whatever resistance I might have had would have crumbled “

“Now you tell me “ Bette grinned “Are those chocolate cup cakes ?”

“Angie and I have been baking “

Bette took Tina’s hand and pulled her close

“Thank you for making today special “

“You have made the last month special – that’s how long we have been here and we are very content”
“Has your plane ticket expired ?”

“Yesterday “

“Damn and blast “ Bette said grinning “What a shame “

Both women were smiling. Bette leant close and kissed Tina on the lips. Tina put her arms around her to stop her pulling away – not that Bette showed any signs of ending the kiss. They kissed for several minutes

“Kissing again ! “ Angie appeared at the door and caught them

Tina looked down at her daughter “I like kissing Bette “

“I know but can we start Bette’s birthday party – you can kiss later “

Bette burst out laughing holding onto Tina as they both laughed at Angie’s unintentional hilarity.

“She is just fantastic “ Bette said drying her eyes

“She’s something alright “ Tina agreed

“Better do as we are told “ Bette said – “Can I carry anything in ?”
