Suddenly they both wished dinner was over. Speed eating would definitely be the way forward.
‘Here comes dinner’ Tina said, nodding her head to the side.
When their meals were in front of them, and the waiter had left, Bette raised her glass.
‘To the Daily Chance Newspaper, for whom without I’d not be sitting here with the most beautiful woman I ever saw….’
Grinning Tina lifted her own glass.
‘To the Daily Chance….because everyone deserves one..’
Toasting, they took a sip, looking at each other over the rim of their glass.
‘I’ll only have one glass. We can take the rest home to finish off.’
‘Sounds good to me..’

Forty Five minutes later they sat back, patting ther stomachs.
‘Whew. I think you’re going to have to roll me out of here…’
Bette laughed.
‘There’s no rush. It’s not a school night….remember…’ she winked.
‘Hehe, umm, yea, about last night…’ Tina started.
Bette folder her arms and cocked an eyebrow.
‘Yes…last night…’ she agreed.
‘Well…was I right…How do you feel today?’
Bette leaned in, bringing her elbows onto the table.
‘Completely unsatisfied’ she whispered in reply.
Tina leaned in until they were only inches apart. Reaching out, she enveloped Bette’s hand between her own. She trailed her fingers lightly over Bette’s palm and up her fingers, finally entwining them.
‘So I was right…’ she whispred huskily.
Bette swallowed, moving her eye’s from Tina’s eye’s to her lips. Leaning closer, she stopped a centimetre away from Tina.
‘I wouldn’t say that. I feel….completely in control.’
Tina’s mouth was slightly agape. She had been ready for Bette’s lips to engulf her own. Hearing Bette’s words of power she sighed, realising Bette was very much in control.
Closing her eye’s, Tina closed the gap, her lips pressing against Bette’s. They breathed deeply, enjoying the feel of once again kissing each other. The kiss was soft and light, despite their need for more.
There was a hoarse clearing of a throat at their side. Breaking the kiss Bette looked at the source.
‘Sorry for interrupting…are you finished..?’ Roberto asked, his cheeks flushed.
Bette looked at Tina, who nodded.
‘Yes thank you. Could we have the wine to go and the bill please…’
‘Of course’ Roberto nodded, gathering their plates.

I just woke up on a friday morning at my place… and look what I found ;) I haven’t read it yet… if I do… I’m gonna be so late to work… will read it again when I’m back from work :D Thanks for posting.
Indeed, thank you so much for posting, Kelloggs. Well, I must confess I’m a little too exhausted right now to write a proper comment or at least to be eloquent enough to “pay tribute” to your tremendous talent as it is an ungodly hour for me, but I needed to say that I hope you’re not seriously considering ending this story so soon… Pleeaaase, will you find a way to continue it for a few more chapters ? You know, I think you don’t have to stick to the original story at this point, huh ? ( wink ) LOL !!! Anyway, I’m sure B & T can together come up with a fabulous idea for a great article for Tina to write, can’t they ? Hopefully, I’ll comment on this further tomorrow ( well, in a few hours that is ) when I am in a better state. Thanks again for your amazing creativity and your delightful writing style.
BTW, did I mention I loved this story ? I guess that goes without saying…
Still trying to catch my breath here. Wow, that was amazing, I don’t know how Tina had the energy to go to work. Max, well he’s an asshole. I’m sure between Bette and Tina they will come up with something. I’m glad she told him, cos now its out in the open.
Wow. Max is a dick. Yeah, she is human, she developed feelings. She didn’t blow the story unless his whole intention was to send a person undercover to seduce a teacher. He is acting like she just blew a million dollar FBI mob investigation. I hope Tina can find solace in Bette.. if Max can’t see that finding happiness for someone who used to be as lonely as Tina is worth more than a grunt job than he is messed up.
…I think I came.
Oh and I think the undercover story was pretty much a bullshit operation. Unless you’re a NARC, what kind of dirt are you even going to find in a high school? National Honor Society kids cheating? Nah cheating reports have been done many times.
*smiles widely* Well, that was.. Brilliant. You were right, it was worth the wait. But, here it comes.. The weekly begging- Pleeeeease can you post sooner/longer? 8 pages is nowhere near enough to quench my kelloggs thirst! I am loving the interaction between Bette and Tina. So glad she told her the truth! Now they are happy together, yay! And don’t worry about the occasional mistake, it is a fabulous story. Having said that, should you ever want that proof-reader, I love what I have seen of your writing and I’d be more than willing (applies for future stories too) Thanks for making my friday! Hot! Max has every right to be upset. The fact remains is that Tina’s objective was too find a story as an undercover reporter. She has cost the newspaper time and money, so unless she can figure out a way to get a great story, she’s already fucked, in more ways than one! :) You made my thursday night perfect! Post soon!

Yeaaaahhhh !!! I SO love this story, and I’m so pleased (such an understatement ;-)) with this new post… Max has good reasons to be angry, if his job is at stake… but he should understand that making a “story” of Bette’s and Tina’s would go nowhere… either Tina would have said nothing… and it would be a frame-up, either she told the truth (which she did) and there is NO story… as for Tina, I think she could perhaps find a good story about the 3 bitches (who are still waiting for the payback…) : why can’t she (and Bette) find something about them, and expose it publicly in the Press (not the campus one, Tina’s paper) : that would be a solution for Tina… and a very good punishment for them… so, what do you think (I was hoping you to use that several posts ago… but I don’t know the movie, so I just follow you where you go…)…. and I second ClarisseStarling…. please, go on for more chapters… you CANNOT finish too soon… (this is not a 90mn movie, you can go as long as you wish… no studios to have you “make money” with it ;-))
Actually there are a number of stories that Tina can write about. One how one teacher was able to start a basketball team and be successful with it. The next how others preceive someone that is different and what happens when they have been outed. Mean girls who will do anything to make themselves look good to others. So many stories out there. I love how you have Bette and Tina making love. To me when two love each other they are making love and not f***ing. Even going at it hard is still making love to the one that you love. I very much enjoy your thought process with Bette and Tina and how they are starting out.

ROFLMAO @ Lamentamini’s first comment!!!!… Well K, I guess it’s her way to tell you that you’re definitely in the run for that “Cold shower” award next season!!!… About Max, I kind of agree with Smiley… I mean, I still think he’s an ass for wanting that story about Bette, and a scandal at all costs… And I also think that Tina was right all along to put her feelings first, especially since we’re talking life’s happiness here… But Max’s reaction about Tina’s blowing her cover is quite reasonnable, given the mission she was given (not that I’m unhappy she did!). Now, I’m not saying that it justifies her to be sacked, but I think that Tina was perfectly aware of the consequencies of her actions and that she was ready to assume them. So, basically what I’m saying is that even though Tina knew all along what she was doing and should take responsibility for her actions, she was soooo right to act on her instincts and feelings, and we sincerely hope that she, with the support of her beloved, will be able to find the perfect story to make it all better, for Max and the newspaper, for the school, for Kate and the team… But most importantly, for Bette and herself, coz at the end of the day, that’s all we care about really, don’t we…??? Oh, and by the way, is it time for the “L” word yet??? Thanks a lot, K! And aren’t we all happy and excited that you’re having some time off!!!

Wow… that was tensed… different kind of tensions throughout the story… hmm… ;) Poor Tina, she should just stay in bed with Bette whole day long. But… let’s just say sometimes life sucks when it comes to reality :( PPS and make everything better… I know Tina will have something to write on to save hers and max’s job… right right?
