Alice came back into the bedroom and had a big smile on her face. Bette returned her smile. "I am on call all this week but I can call you and we can get together again." Alice smiled at her and nodded her head as she dressed. "Bette, I do know your schedule." Bette spun around as she was heading to the shower and looked at her questioningly. " I am the new cardiovascular surgical resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital." Bette’s face dropped but thought this could be a good opportunity, she could learn more from Alice. "Well Doctor, I suppose we are both late for rounds." 

Tina was entering the classroom when she bumped into Dr. Elizabeth Kraft, and the doctor found her attractive instantly. Tina put her hand on her arm and apologized profusely. "Please, please, no worries….(Elizabeth waited for Tina’s name)??? Tina caught on quickly and said, "Tina." Elizabeth gave her a gorgeous smile and Tina melted. Tina was always interested in men and had only dated men but this woman intrigued her. The doctor’s beauty was evident and Tina was very aware of the doctor’s flirtatious manner but dismissed it as playful banter. Please Tina could you please join me in the front row, and guided her by the arm to the front row of seats. Tina became more nervous as she started to see the full room of student and her potential competitors. Elizabeth was getting her laptop and notes organized when she looked up and gave Tina a warm smile and wink. Tina’s career as a doctor had begun. 

Bette was stuck in the emergency room doing a shift as Alice wanted to get a lay of the land sort of speak and elected Bette to give her the tour and help her find her way. Bette was fascinated by Alice’s skill and demeanor with patients as she ran the ER. The nurses seemed to like her which was rare with Bette, the nurses did not like Bette but there were always a couple that lusted for Bette so they usually did favours for her regardless. Bette was known around the hospital for her beauty, men had come to the sad realization that she was a lesbian and had no real chance with her so they finally accepted as a colleague to compete rather than a female to conquer. The women in the hospital liked Bette as a physician or as a woman which Bette enjoyed having the comforts of having a warm body in her bed when she desired. Alice was a breath of fresh air as Bette had not had a serious relationship ever, as she had always been busy with college, then med school and finally in her residency she just had time for hospital quickies. The only woman that Bette really wanted was Elizabeth Kraft and she was elusive. Rumours were abound that she was in fact gay though no one knew for certain as the doctor never let anyone into her private life. Bette was thinking of Elizabeth when she felt a tap on her shoulder, and she turned to face the object of her day dream. "Dr. Kraft, can I help you?"
