Masked Feelings CH 71 Conditional Honesty

After the call, she really couldn’t get settled. She swore that heard noises right outside the bedroom window. It was probably the neighbors dog again. It always got out of the yard. Alice laid there until she couldn’t stand it, then went into the kitchen to get a drink of water. Shane must have moved to the guest bedroom because she wasn’t on the couch. She almost wished she was because she was dying for the company. The clock chimed on the mantle and everytime it did, Alice wanted to smash the damn thing. She was going to talk Dana into getting rid of it when she got back.

Alice left a message at the hotel for Dana to call her when she got back. Her voicemail was full so she couldn’t leave one on there. Roxy was bound to turn up at anytime. She had the tape with her, but was really wondering if she wanted to hand it over. It was bad enough that this happened to her, but did people actually have to see it? It should be destroyed. Dana wasn’t going to be happy about Roxy helping her, even though it might mean that she’s safe from the mob. Alice was really debating on how much she should tell Dana about this whole thing.

    *************

Dana had been distracted all morning. She could hear how angry Alice was with her. No matter what was going on, there seemed to be a tension that continued to build between them. She kept telling herself that things would be much better after this trip, but was it really true? They promised to be honest with each other and talk about things, but it hadn’t really happened since that day they spoke their minds. She didn’t regret asking Shane to stay at the house while she was gone, even though Alice didn’t understand her motives. She wasn’t sorry for that, but she was sorry for leaving Alice to deal with their angry friends.

She had a few minutes before last meeting. Dana wanted to get out and stretch her legs. She’d walk a few blocks and think about where she wanted to go first after her own business was taken care of. It was so bright out that it left her squinting. Her eyes hurt enough from the lack of sleep last night and this was just making it worse. She wished she would’ve remembered to grab her sunglasses off the nightstand, but she didn’t want to go back to get them.

    1. What are you up to you sick bastard? I can’t say I’m digging the lack of trust or communication exhibited in this chapter. I’m sure you have something up you’re sleeve & you’ll reveal it when you damn well please. Over all I liked the chapter, although the lack of sex is a bit unforgiveable.

    2. HOORAY! You’re back! And like always with a great installment. Even without any massacres, lol. Hmmmm, so you think I’m not impartial anymore and am trying to charm the pants off of you? Actually, I thought they were already off, lol. Seems like it’s not the case…I have to work harder, huh? To be honest, I wasthinking of a different piece of clothing to get off of you anyway, lol. When I’m complimentary all the time, my dear, it’s only because I have a good reason…maybe also two…or three? Iguess enough to show you how much I worship your story…more with every new chapter. You’re right. I can’t let goof Lara…I miss her in a way. Are you sure she’s dead? I’m not, lol. Thischapter raises so many questions. Would love to know what’s held in these “mysterious” barrels. Who was at Dana’s hotel room? And who wanted to kill Dana?Maybe a mob member? I know you won’t answer these questions right away…but I can at least try, can’t I? I’m glad, Andrea saved Hottie. I knew it was right of me to love her, lol. Must be my female intuition that functions at times like these, lol. Do I smell another fight when it comes to Sara and Roxy? Hope David won’t hypnotize his sister to get rid of Foxy, lol. I’m sure, he’ll attend it to himself. Too much pleasure…more than he had with animals. What a fucking lunatic. Dana made the right decision by going alone to Chicago. I fear she might be having second thoughts when it comes to her relationship with Alice. They definitely need to fix their trust issues. I’mconfident they’re going to make the bestout of it…even with Roxy on their minds…albeit with completely oppositefeelings. As for the tape…no idea if it’s smart of Al to hand it over to Foxy. She promised not to watch it…will she stick to it? I doubt it…I highly doubt it to say the least. You think you know my favorite number? Hmmmm…I’d say…if you guess right I’ll get you some candys, LOL. Not satisfied with it? Maybe you’ve got something on your mind? But if you’re wrong, hrhr…I better think it through before giving an answer, lol. Please post soon, darlin’. You know I need my brteyes-fix. Excellent job, lady. You’ve become near and dear to my heart…(are your pants finally off? lol)

    3. I was so excited to read this chapter (even without the steamy sex!) Hope Dana finds a way to make it up to Alice. Although going alone was a very good idea… Love your story looking forward to the next one!

    4. Oh Alice and Dana!! What am I gonna do with you two? They have to start communicating better or I’m gonna strangle them both. Who is this Andrea chic? Whoever she is she needs to keep away from Dana because she belongs with Alice and that is that!!!

    5. Interesting twist in the end, I wonder what kind of help Andera is going to give Roxy and how did she know where Dana would be? I am also glad that the clock reappeared since I have been waiting for that mystery to be solved. You do make a good point that Dana doesn’t know that it was Alice, not Roxy that started things with Roxy, it would devastated Dana to find out especially from someone other than Alice, but I wonder can Dana ever forgive Alice without knowing the whole truth, not just about that night but the other times that Alice almost fvcked Roxy.

    6. super awesome chapter as always. took me almost 24 hours to read the whole thing because i kept getting interupted by life. i hope your next chapter comes soon because this one was too much of a cliffhanger. noises outside of windows, mysterious phone calls, late night people at hotel doors, and andrea following dana. crazy stuff. please post soon so we can all know what the heck happens. oh and it wouldn’t be a post if i didn’t say … i hate roxy!
