Roxy stepped outside of the building to look around, questioning anyone that was in the area. There was only a couple people out at that hour and they definitely didn’t raise any suspicions with her. Whoever it was…. was still around. She knew when someone was watching her. Roxy couldn’t findanything and it was coming up on 10 minutes. Alice would be calling the police if she wasn’t back. Knowing that this was a lost cause, she went back up to Alice’s apartment. Roxy knocks on the door.
Roxy – You can open up now. It’s me.
Alice unlocks the door and lets her in.
Alice – I was ready to call the police. What did you find out?
Roxy – I’m glad you follow my instructions so good, thats why I came back when I did. I didn’t find anything…. but I feel like whoever it is, is still out there. I know when I’m being watched. From now on, stay away from the windows and keep the door locked. If I’m not with you, one of my agents will be close by.
Alice – This is bad, isn’t it?
Roxy – Well, whoever it was, wanted me to see them. I consider that a threat. Try not to worry, Alice. Know that I’m trained for this type of thing, I do this all the time. You are safe….. Now I think you should go to bed and get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a long day for the both of us.
Alice walks off to her bedroom and slips under the covers. She was too wound up to sleep and every little noise spooked her.
Alice – Roxy!
Roxy comes running in.
Roxy – What’s wrong?!
Alice – I can’t sleep.
Roxy – You’re safe, Alice. Just close your eyes and know that I’m here , watching out for you.
Alice – Don’t leave me alone…. please stay with me till I fall asleep.
Why was it when Roxy was starting to get a handle on her feelings….. Alice would tug at her heartstrings. Alice pats her hand down on the bed.
Alice – Sit….. please.
Roxy sits down beside her.
Alice – I’m sorry…. I must seem like a pain in the ass.
Roxy – You’re not. It’s ok to be scared, Alice.
Alice – You would think that after all I’ve been through I’d be a hell of a lot tougher then I am right now.
Roxy – You have been through a lot, but this is a different circumstance. I wish I could do something to reassure you.
Alice – You are…. just by being here with me. I do feel safe with you here.
Roxy – That makes me feel better.
Roxy lays down on the bed to rest her head on the pillow. She waited for Alice to say something about making herself more comfortable but she didn’t. Roxy turned to her side to look at Alice. She looked so vulnerable and it really got to her. Alice looked back at her.
Alice – Thanks for being here….. I know you’re just doing your job but you are such a good friend to me. I wish I could repay the favor some how.
Roxy – It is my job but your friendship means a lot more to me.
Alice reaches over and gives her a hug.
Alice – This feels good. Can you just hold me till I fall asleep?
Roxy – Sure…. I’d be happy to.
Roxy was more then happy….. she was thrilled. She could hold Alice all night if she wanted to. This wasn’t going to make the situation better but she would take what Alice would give her. Alice was snuggling up to her and it felt so wonderful. When she fell asleep, Roxy kissed her on the cheek.
Roxy – Sweet dreams, Alice. I know mine will be…… cause I’m falling for you. God help me….. I’m falling.
TBC – Well it’s not a chapter that you liked, but it had to happen. It will get more interesting. More drama to come. I want to hear those comments…. please don’t hold back. I know there are a lot of frustrated people out there. I do promise more Alice/Dana action, though.

Great update, as usual. Please keep the Danish alive…after tonight, some of us will need fan fic more than ever. I love your story.
Roxy’s starting to scare me. lol I agree with discorange. Thank you for keeping danish alive. As long as you are willing to grace us with danish stories, I will read and comment. At least the best, most tender and fun couple on the show can continue in fanfiction.
Almost a second round for Alice and Roxy between the sheets huh….well saved by the bell. :D I hope Dana gets home soon, so she can be the one who’s holding Alice in her arms for the night. And who was that outside the house? I’m guessing that person will also be at the funeral? :)

hey girly, great update. roxy is falling for alice….why must she complicate the already difficult situation? can’t wait for dana to get out of the hospital. i can totally imagine all the tension and jealousy b/n roxy and dana, lol. i bet the person outside al’s window was lara’s bro. right? when u write the sequel, i’ll jump in for the ride. i’m not going anywhere. i got hooked to this story and ur writing style from chapter 1. u’re looking for inspiration…hmmm, maybe at the funeral tony will defend alice when the gambino family blames her for gina’s death? or whatever.
i think that the show has made me not enjoy fanfiction anymore….i wasnt into any stories today but it was well written..(sighs) i just dont know.

ooooh the drama. well done, i’m loving it. Haha i haven’t even watched the latest episode of the l word and already i feel like we’ve all lost one of the best couples that will ever grace our screens. Alas. But anyway thank you for your fic, it’s the little light at the end of the seemingly dark tunnel.

Great chapter, but Roxy is crossing the line here. Hope Dana gets out of the hospital soon to be with Alice and watch over her. Thanks a lot for keeping Danish alive, I will read as long as you write. Looking forward to the next update.
