Tina walked into the bedroom of the giant mansion and dropped her things with a long, tired sigh.

"Hey Tina," Angus said looking at his tired wife.

"Hey Angus," Tina said sadly.

"How’d it go with the doctor?" Angus asked turning around so Tina could change her clothes.

"Not good, she said with only one of my eggs functioning and only functioning barely, there’s very little chance I’ll ever have a child," Tina said breaking into tears.

"May I turn?" Angus said.

"Yes you may," Tina said sitting down on the bed. She had changed into some sweats and a T shirt.

Angus turned around and hugged her comfortingly, "we’ll find a way Tina. You know I’ll donate my sperm no matter what."

"Thank you Angus, you’re a good friend," Tina smiled, "well and husband too."

"I wouldn’t say I’m much of a husband, but if you say so," Angus shrugged, "anyways, remember that your husband owns multimillion dollar companies, so you can do any procedure in order to have a child, no matter how expensive."

Tina sighed, "well there is a procedure I can do. Sort of like the surrogate mother kind of thing. Someone can donate an egg to me and I’ll carry the baby. The baby will get some of my own features and genes because I’m the one nurturing him."

"That sounds great!" Angus said happily, "if you’re sure you wanna do this then I support you."

Tina sighed sadly, "Angus, ever since my dad forced me into this marriage, he made sure I lost all my friends, my job, and everything I ever cared about. This child is what I need to fill this gap in my heart."

"I understand Tina, the love of my life Kathy left me because of this arrangement," Angus said, "this child would be good for me too."

Tina laid her head on his shoulder and snuggled up to him, "I wish I could fall in love with you Angus."

"It’s better that you can’t," Angus said, "because I will always love Kathy."

Tina sighed contentedly, "you’re my best friend."

"So are you," Angus responded, "and I’m not gonna rest until I prove your father is a fraud and earn back your freedom."

"He would have never let me marry you if he knew you were an FBI agent," Tina said.
