Prom night:

Tina is putting on the finishing touches of her make up when she hears the doorbell.  She wasn’t sure if she was going to get to go to prom because Bette’s team was in the playoffs.  Tina made up her mind that she would not go stag and she didn’t want to go with a friend or family member. Will her cousin Trevor did volunteer and promised to be the perfect gentleman, she said no.  The cardinals’ season came to an end when they lost to Baylor in the final four.  So Bette was free to escort Tina to her senior prom after all.

“Tina, Bette’s here.”

“Ok, mom.  I’ll be right down.”

Katherine knew the moment her daughter came into view because of the intake of breath Bette made at the sight of her.  Tina was a vision of sexiness without overdoing it.  She wore a floor length black gown with spaghetti straps and shimmering beading down the front.  Bette had never seen this dress before.  Tina’s hair had lots  of curls in an up do, with a few tendrils framing her face.  She also wore the white gold necklace Bette bought her.  Bette noticed the tennis bracelet Tina’s parents gave her as a graduation present.

“You look great, T.”  Bette said still a little speechless at the sight before her.

Tina smiled, “Why thanks Elizabeth.  You’re not so bad yourself.”

Bette also wore a long black satin dress.  Hers had a sexy split that reached Bette’s mid thigh.  Her was also very curly but she let it down because this is how Tina likes it.

“Ok Christina, we’re going to be formal tonight I see.”

Katherine was enjoying the banter between the two lovers, who seemed to be in their own world as if often the case. 

“Girls, I promised Bette’s parents I’d get plenty of pictures of the two of you before you left.”

Twenty minutes later, they were entering the Limo Bette rented for the occasion.  Tina didn’t peg Bette as a traditionalist but Bette did all the things a prom date would.  She bought her a corsage and insisted on pinning it on Tina before they took their pictures.   She kept telling Tina that they will remember this night for the rest of our lives.
