Chapter 33:
The Clinton High Gymnasium:
Beyonce’s ‘Run the World (Girls)’ is blaring out of the speakers. There is a group of girls doing the choreography from the video. The crowd breaks up and watches the impromptu show. Bette and Tina are looking on. Bette sees at least 6 or 7 girls she hooked up with and a couple of them are eyeing her up and down. Tina notices this and it makes her a little uncomfortable but she doesn’t pay too much attention to it. She doesn’t want to seem insecure.
“Would you like something to drink, T?”
“Yes babe. Diet coke please.”
“One diet coke coming right up.” Bette goes over to the refreshment area. Tina’s eyes follow Bette and she doesn’t notice that Carmen is standing right next to her.
“Hey Tina. You look hot.” Tina rolls her eyes before turning to face the sexy cheerleader.
“Hi Carmen. Thanks.”
Just then the DJ started playing Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera’s ‘Moves Like Jagger’.
“Would you like to dance?”
“No thanks.”
“Oh come on. Does Bette have you on such a short leash that you can’t get one dance with me?”
“No Carmen. I just prefer not to lead you on that’s all.”
“Good one Tina. Any way. Your soon to be ex girlfriend is on her way back over, so I’ll see you later.” Carmen winks and walks away.
Tina can’t believe she just said that.
“Hey babe here’s your drink.” Bette said.
“Thanks babe.”
“So let me guess. Carmen wanted to dance with you.”
“Yeah but don’t worry I said no.” Tina said quickly.
“It would have been ok if you wanted to dance with her, you know.”
“Well I told you what she said to me the other day.”
“Yes you did. Which is why you should have danced with her. She wants to dance with the prettiest girl at school. I don’t blame her for that. She has good taste.”
“So you wouldn’t have been mad if you saw me grinding with Carmen when you came back?” Tina asked with raised eyebrows.
“Well my dear dancing and grinding are two different things. As long as it was a respectable distance between you two I wouldn’t trip.” Bette thought about it for a minute and said, “It’s obvious that Carmen wants you and I have a reputation to uphold, so maybe I should have a conversation with her.” Bette put her drink down and started looking in the direction she saw the cheerleader going.

Thanks for the amazing update on this great story. I know that drama is sometimes needed to keep a story going. But can we please keep this one at a minimum, and let our girls both give Helena a what for and let everyone know that Bette and Tina belong to each other.

Absolutely love this story had alot to catch up on. I wonder where bette will decide to go to college and if Tina can cope with that decision. It seems these girls have a lot more huddles to jump over they end up at the finish line. Great story as always
