LIfe with Mom and Tina Ch 67

Jess shrugged her shoulders. “Just a theory.” She said.

    “Oh really.” Tina said smiling.

    “Yep.” Jess said.

    They sat finishing breakfast.

    “We better go.” Tina said.

“I am ready whenever you are.” Jess said.

“Do you know where Annie’s bag is?” Tina asked.

“Since did you start calling her that?” Jess asked picking up the pick book bag they used as a diaper bag.

“I don’t know I guess I just picked it up. That’s what the boys call her cause they can’t say the G very well.” Tina said handing the baby to Jess so she could finish packing it.

“Works for me. I think we should call her jelly bean but that just me.” Jess said taking her from Tina.

    “Why?” Tina asked.

“Do you remember when you brought her home from the hospital you had her swaddled.” Jess said.

    “Yeah.” Tina said.

“Well Teddy said she looked like a jelly bean. That’s what they both called her for awhile, and still does some. Well it sounds more like Jilly.” Jess said. Angelica cooed and laughed at her sister.

“I don’t remember that, But I have heard them call her that and wondered why they were calling her that.” Tina said.

    “I know.” Jess said.

“But I think that is a cute nickname.” She said zipping up the bag.

They left the house and headed for the hospital.

At the hospital they waited in the waiting room for Jess to get a CT scan.

Jess figited with the hospital bracelet and nervously flipped through magazines.

    “What’s the matter?” Tina asked.

    “I’m scared.” Jess said.

“The scan doesn’t hurt at all.” Tina said.

“I know but what if they find something really wrong.” Jess said.

“If they do we will get through it, but let’s not think about that okay.” She said touching Jess’s face.

    “I don’t think I can.” Jess said.

    “Ms. Kennard.” A nurse said.

“Yes.” Tina said and went to the counter. She handed the baby to Jess.

“We need you to fill out some more forms.” The nurse said.

“Okay.” Tina said taking the clip board from the nurse and returned to her seat.

    A Couple Hours Later

Tina paced the waiting room. Bette was sitting in a chair holding a sleeping Angelica.

“Babe please sit down you are going to wear a hole in the carpet.” Bette said.

“I can’t help it she has been back there for 3 hours.” Tina said.

“Dr. Hill said that it might take awhile.” Bette said.

    MEANWHILE……

Jess sat in one of the chairs in Doctor Hill’s office. He walked in and sat down.

“Are you sure you don’t want your moms in here?” H e asked.

“Its not going away is it.” Jess said.

    4. Charmed, It was pleasing to see Tina put her family first particularly after Jess’s recent speech about Bette and Tina’s relationships with their children. I do got a lump in my throat every time I think about what could be causing these headaches especially after those ominous last words ‘ “It’s not going away is it?” Jess said. ‘. 7. Whatever is wrong with Jess, damn well better be something that can be fixed. Think its great that Tina can arrange things at work to be home more right now to be with all the kids.

    8. Loving the story, and hope Jess is going to be okay. Where is her girlfriend Laurie, you haven’t mentioned her in a couple of chapters???Please let Jess be okay, just something minor please. the family has been through much too much for anything to happen to her. YOu would have to bury Bette and Tina would be right behind her.
