    Author Notes:

    Tina takes Jess to get some tests done.

    Previously:

    Tina returned in a moment with a hot cloth.

    “Here. Hopefully this will help.” She said. She moved Jess’s arm.

    “It hurts so bad.” Jess said.

    “I know sweetie.” Tina said. She held Jess until she fell asleep. Only after Jess was asleep did she allow herself to dose off.

     



    “Jess come on its time to get.” Tina said holding Angelica.

    “Okay.” Jess said starting to move out of the bed.

    “What time do I have to be at the hospital?” Jess asked.

    “We have to be there at 10.” Tina said.

    “Are you going with me?” Jess asked Tina had been so busy at work she really had much time for anything else.

    “I am. Mom has a meeting with the college president so I am going to take you.” Tina said.

    “Okay.” Jess got up and went into the bathroom.

    Later

    Tina was sitting at the table holding Angelica drinking coffee.

    “Are you ready?” Tina asked.

    “Yeah where is everyone?” Jess asked.

    “Bette dropped the boys off on her way to work.” Tina said.

    “Is Angelica okay?” Jess asked.

    “Yeah she is fine why?” Tina asked.

    “She isn’t going to daycare today.” Jess said.

    “No I am going to take some time off from work until you are better.” Tina said.

    “You can do that.” Jess said.

    “I can. I am still going to go in two days a week when Mom is off. I decided that it isn’t doing you any good to go to work with one of us. We might as well just let you go to school.” Tina said.

    “Okay.” Jess said. She sat down at the table and poured Cherrios into her bowl. Angelica started screaming when Jess took the box.

    “Hey she is going to give it right back.” Tina said trying to console the baby. Jess put the box back down in front of her. Angelica loved to look at the box. No one, not even Jess, understood why.

    “You guys think that I am a handful. Wait until she becomes mobile.” Jess said eating her cereal.

    “Why do you say that?” Tina asked.

    2. Maybe Angelica likes looking at the box because it’s yellow and yellow is usually considered a happy color. Jellybean lol I remember when my ex called me that. Okay I’m going to stop that thought right now. =p Whatever Jess has, it better be something that can be fixed. I don’t wanna sit here and bawl over another fictional character. =/

    7. Charmed, It was pleasing to see Tina put her family first particularly after Jess’s recent speech about Bette and Tina’s relationships with their children. I do got a lump in my throat every time I think about what could be causing these headaches especially after those ominous last words ‘ “It’s not going away is it?” Jess said. ‘. Please put me out of my misery soon and let Jess be healthy again. The gal needs to play ball. Where are her team mates? Thank you for this terrific tale. Your Loyal Fan.

    10. This is pure agony! Please, please let Jess be alright. Too much has happened for anything horrible to happen to Jess. And where did you leave Laurie? Is she still Jess’s girlfriend and why is she not involved in her illness? Please post very very soon!

    11. Whatever is wrong with Jess, damn well better be something that can be fixed. Think its great that Tina can arrange things at work to be home more right now to be with all the kids.

    13. Loving the story, and hope Jess is going to be okay. Where is her girlfriend Laurie, you haven’t mentioned her in a couple of chapters???Please let Jess be okay, just something minor please. the family has been through much too much for anything to happen to her. YOu would have to bury Bette and Tina would be right behind her.
