Life with Mom and Tina Ch 23

“She is getting bold isn’t she.” Shane said.

“Yeah and I am afraid it is only get worse as she gets older.” Tina said. “Let me go deal with her then I want to hear all about that date.” Tina smiled and walked towards the playroom. She pulled the door closed as she walked in.

“I didn’t do anything at school, I swear.” Jess said after looking at Tina’s serious face.

“Is that so,” she said sitting on the couch next to her, “because I heard that you and Kelly were passing notes again.” Tina said.

“Okay we were passing notes but we are three chapters ahead of the rest of the kids, and we were bored.” Jess said.

“I know, but that still doesn’t mean that you can do whatever you want.” Tina said.

“I know but when I get bored I can’t help it.” Jess said.

“Well what would you like to do instead of sitting in class after you have finished your work.” Tina asked.

“I like sitting with Ms. Black.” Jess said.

“You like sitting in detention?” Tina asked.

“No we like going in there because we can talk to each other while we work and everything is not so.” Jess said.

    “So what?” Tina asked.

“So quite. I can’t concentrate when It is so quite, and Ms. Black plays the radio in there.” Jess said.

“Okay Why can’t you concentrate.?” Tina asked curious to hear what Jess was going to say.

“Because when it quite I can hear all the little noises in the room.” Jess said.

“I understand now. I will talk to Ms. Henderson tomorrow.” Tina said.

    “Okay.” Jess said.

“Do you have any homework?” Tina asked

“Nop, I did it in detention.” Jess said.

“Okay then, you can play just leave the door open.” Tina said opening the door.

“Okay.” Jess said walking over to the TV and turned on the Nintendo that Nana and Papa had given her for her birthday.

“And not to loud.” Tina said before leaving her to join Alice, Shane and Dana. Bette was working the room well. By 11:00 everyone but the gang had left.

“Where’s Jess?” Bette asked looking at the dark playroom.

    1. Jess is a good girl just she is a little freak out and i undersatand her, thanks to Bette and Tina who loves her so much. i can`t imagine their 3 children run over all the house! i am waiting for the next weding wekeend. excelent post, writte soon

    2. ok maybe my comment in the pervious chapter was over done, but I still think Bette can loosen those “reins” a bit. Tina is so much more affectionate and tries to include Jess in the little things. And what I don’t understand is Y oh Y does everybody think that if a child is showing “problems/issues” in class or else where they’re so quick to label it. I’ve known a lot of ppl like that including my own brother, and they’ve all turned out to be Highly spiritual or in some great profession. OH WELL I ALWAYS ENJOY READING, AND WE’RE ALL ENTITLED TO OUR OPINIONS…SO UPDATE SOON!!!!!!

    3. Mikey and Teddy…those are cute. I’m so glad Jesse turned and went back to Bette…they both needed that. Jesse has been through a lot, but she must know she’s loved. Really love how this story is going, please continue.

    4. Mikey and Teddy Cute, Jesse can be a pain in the ass, but Bette and Tina loves her so much.Al has a date Let see if she tell the gang all that goes on thanks

    5. Drama-free wedding! We need a drama-free chapter. Honestly if my mom said she was having a baby I’d probably freak out too, not just because she’s had her tubes tied, but because I’ve been an only child for 26 years. I can’t remember if I mentioned it before, but I’m glad Jess has really taken a liking to softball. I was worried she’d be a pain in the butt in a group activity like that.

    6. I love this story. It’s always great to see and update from you and you do it so well. Your treatment of these characters is fantastic and so real. All their emotions are right on point…. especially an only child…prepubescent being a pain in the butt…. and pushing the boundaries with her parents…. and then going back to being the the baby and seeking affirmation of their love for her. Keep up the excellent work. Thanks.
