"Where were you last night?" Shannon asked Jess quietly.
"Asleep." Jess said.
"No duh. I meant where." Shannon said.
"Why does it matter?" Jess snapped. They were have a semi private conversation.
"Because the whole seems to think that you spent the night with Cat." Shannon said.
"We did, but before you jump to conclusions we didn’t do anything. We just talked." Jess said.
"Are you two going to let the rest of us in on your conversation?" Kit asked.
"No." Jess said.
"Sissy." Angelica said from the floor next to her.
"Hey Jeli. I missed you so much." Jess said picking her up.
"Nay Nay miss heary." She said. She couldn’t say the L’s in Hillary.
"She does. Maybe you should give her a big hug and kiss to make her feel better." Jess said.
"I stay with you." Angelica replied.
"Okay then." Jess said.
"So Cat do we have a chance today?" Lilly asked.
"Lilly you know that we dominate in international softball. As long as we keep it together and don’t make to many errors we should do great." Cat said. If felt weird to her talking with Lilly like they were old friends. She had always seen Lilly as a authority figure.
"Good Good." She said.
"Are you girls starting?" Ivy asked.
"We don’t know, but Jess probably will. I mean she always does." Shannon said.
Jess played with Angelica and tried to ignore her sister.
"Actually both of them are starting." Cat said. Shannon about choked on her drink.
"What? How am I starting? There are much better pitchers on the team than me." She managed to get out.
"That’s not true. You are very talented. In fact I would go as far to say that you have the best game, because you can consistently throw good pitches for long periods of time." Cat said. Shannon was extremely flattered.
"I am just glad we could all make to support the two of you." Mimi said.
"I so glad that you all came. I figured it would just be Mom and Mama. I just hope we don’t let you all down." Shannon said.

It’s either Cat or someone trying to hurt Jess. Prevent her from playing in the upcoming games. Hopefully, just Cat trying to get a little sumthin’. But it doesn’t make sense b/c if Cat’s patient she’d get herself a little piece tonight. Uh-Oh.
Great Chapter! I realy hope Shannon is not pissed off at Jess. Its going to be hard seperating Cat the coach from Cat the girlfriend. Looking forward to your next post. =)

It’s probably Cat just goofing off which is dumb because bad injuries can happen while horsing around. Jess doesn’t need an injury right now. I kinda have to agree with Jess about not standing up to Cat. This isn’t some tiddlywink sandlot ballgame.
Now who is going to pass on that both Shannon and Jess are not going to be late meeting the family. I feel a little sorry for Shannon but what Jess said at that level it is important to win is so true. Great chapter and I can’t wait until Thursay for you next chapter.
Shannon need relax and focus in the next game, it’s a difficult position for Jess and Cat to separate relationship from game.
