Previously:
"Cat that’s not healthy for you to be that cold." Jess said.
"I won’t be for long I am afraid." Cat said.
Jess and Cat lay asleep in the bed wrapped in each others arms fully clothed. After Jess came to the room they had stayed up talking for a long time before falling asleep.
Jess’s phone rang. She moaned but only stirred. It rang again.
"Babe it’s your phone." Cat said quietly.
"They’ll leave a message." Jess mumbled back.
"They’ve called twice it’s probably important." Cat said. Jess reached for her phone but it had stopped ringing.
"Who was it?" Cat asked.
"Who cares?" Jess said burying her face in the pillow. The phone rang again. She opened it and held it to her ear.
"Hello. Hey Mama. Yeah I had a late night. Mama! I know but. Wait what time is it? Its what? 8:16. Holy Crap. Hey Mama can I call you back I have to get ready we have a morning practice in 30 minutes. Okay Bye." Jess said and hurriedly got out of the bed.
"What’s the matter?" Cat asked watching her.
"We have a practice in 30 minutes and I have to figure out some way to explain this when my nosy sister spills to my moms." Jess said pulling on her hoodie.
"Jess we don’t have practice. It was canceled. I got a message from Allison while we were out last night. So come back to bed." Cat said.
"Are you sure?" Jess asked.
"I am positive if you don’t believe me listen to it yourself." Cat said.
"No I believe you." Jess said crawling back onto the bed. She kissed Cat. "But I still have to go meet my family for brunch." Jess said.
"I was hoping we could have breakfast in bed." Cat said.
"Why don’t you come with me?" Jess asked.
"Jess I am not exactly their favorite person. Not after what happened." Cat said.
"Okay first of all. They knew nothing about before and to my knowledge still don’t. Second you are going to have to be around them if we are going to be together. Third they will love you because I do." Jess said.

It’s either Cat or someone trying to hurt Jess. Prevent her from playing in the upcoming games. Hopefully, just Cat trying to get a little sumthin’. But it doesn’t make sense b/c if Cat’s patient she’d get herself a little piece tonight. Uh-Oh.
Great Chapter! I realy hope Shannon is not pissed off at Jess. Its going to be hard seperating Cat the coach from Cat the girlfriend. Looking forward to your next post. =)

It’s probably Cat just goofing off which is dumb because bad injuries can happen while horsing around. Jess doesn’t need an injury right now. I kinda have to agree with Jess about not standing up to Cat. This isn’t some tiddlywink sandlot ballgame.
Now who is going to pass on that both Shannon and Jess are not going to be late meeting the family. I feel a little sorry for Shannon but what Jess said at that level it is important to win is so true. Great chapter and I can’t wait until Thursay for you next chapter.
Shannon need relax and focus in the next game, it’s a difficult position for Jess and Cat to separate relationship from game.
