Life: Altered 03.13 ~*~ Ready, Steady, Play
“Man, Dana you don’t have to
do this ya know?” Shane said, and Dana
shrugged, patting Shane’s leg.
“Well…..” Dana said, standing up and smiling, Shane
grabbed at her, but missed. She licked her lips; Dana had been talking about
getting out of the house for two days now.
“Oh oh.” Shane said, knowing that something was
brewing.
“We have a date tonight, me
and you. We are going to listen to Alice
play at that hot new club, Twilight.
No saying no, you have a sort of hot
woman to guide you and its time for you to go out and this is a cool place to
do it. Alice is crazed about doing this
and I want to be there, and she wants her best friend to be there too.” Dana said and Shane felt her hands get sweaty
and she shook her head.
“No, Dane I can’t… Please… I can’t…” Shane said, taking the glasses off and folding
them gingerly and putting them on the table at 9 o’clock. She sighed, steadying her hand and Dana knelt,
taking her hands and kissing them.
“Shane, do you trust me?” Dana asked and Shane said in a very soft
voice.
“Dana, at the moment I trust
you with my life, every day. Please…” Shane begged, and she knew it was fruitless,
Dana was going to bring her, and she knew that Dana was going to do her best to
let her have a good time.
“For Alice?” Dana begged and Shane moaned, she was about to
give in. She could feel it in her soul
and in Dana’s voice.
“Ok, but we go and come home, no
other women, pretend you are my real date, I don’t care what you got to do,
just keep the other women away from me man.
I can’t deal with that yet.” Dana
nodded and smiled. Dana kissed Shane’s
cheek and Shane laughed hardily.
“Ok, I’ll be all over you like
white on rice….” Dana said and Shane
was about to tell her that the saying was something else, but she laughed,
letting Dana ride the high of wanting to go out.
“Oh man…” Shane said, leaning back onto the couch and
thinking that this was going to be one long night. She had a date with Dana ***** Fairbanks.
~*~*~*~*~*
They both got out of the car,
and looked at each other intensely, and Quin said in a bland voice. Face still emotionless.
“So you think we should?” And Alice gave her a wide eyed look, and shook
the paper she’d scribbled the lyrics on.
“DUH!” She almost yelled and on Quin’s face there was
a ghost of a smile and Alice was relieved that she wasn’t laughing at her. Quin nodded, walked to the back door of Twilight, Alice running after her and the
entered the club, pushing passed people, ready to rock and roll.

wow, just read the last three chapters. Amazing work again! I wonder what’s going to happen between Tina and Bette. I guess they both just need to be up front with eachother, cuz their relationship is getting nowhere but down. And than there is Quin and Alice, I don’t know, but they really should open their eyes and let those lyrics become reality! I love them together. Who would have thought Dana “fucking” Fairbanks (I loved the way you wrote that) would become such a good friend to Shane. It’s so sweet! Now go on and write some more girl, you rock!
Now we have two guilty ones walking around. I can see Tina with Cass. better than I can see Bette with Candace. Marina is very upset with Bette,Tina will see it before Bette tells her. thanks
Uh Oh, will Shane & Dana hook up? Keep Tina & Bette apart w/ Cassandra & Candace.
ugh. this is drving me nuts.
loving it! I hope you update soon.
