“Baby, I love you so much. Why God, WHY? Why did this have to happen. Why wasn’t I there. Why?”

For the first time since they’d gotten into the car, Bette began to cry. She was crying hysterically with her hand over her mouth.

“Bette we are almost there.”

Bette leaned in to kiss Tina’s face, trying to make everything go way maybe with every kiss she placed on Tina her stomach began to grow more and more queasy. 

“NO!”

Bette screamed through the agonizing feeling in her stomach and the pain she was feeling. It was more of a grunted scream which made Shane jump. Shane looked back to see a distraught Bette kissing her lovers wounded face.

“Bette? Baby?”

“Oh my gosh?!”

Bette said through her tears and pain. Tina had come to through the sound of her lovers screams. 

“Baby, don’t cry.”

Tina said through her own tears. 

Bette just gasped for air, she couldn’t believe that Tina was finally up. She had just lifted the biggest weight off her shoulders because for moments Bette was begging to contemplate the fact that Tina might be dead. 

“Tina baby, Tee?”

Bette grabbed onto Tina and began to kiss her wounds again.

“Alright we are here. I’ll run around and open the door.”

Shane appeared in less than a second flat opening the door. 

“Alright here we go!”

Bette picked Tina up and carried her into the hospital while Shane when to the front desk to get some help. 
The hospital was abnormally packed with people tonight, and for the first time Bette had noticed the amount of wounded, the sick, the sad, and the lonely. It made her stomach cringe again. And then some nurses appeared with a gurney for Tina’s body. Bette laid her on the stretcher and began to follow, when one of the nurses said…

“Miss we are going to have you to ask you to stay out here!”

“Fuck too! I’m going in whether you like it or not!”

“Security!”

“Fuck your God damn security, that’s my wife on the fucking stretcher and I’m going with her. Alright?”

The nurse did not argue this time, and when security showed she just waved them off and said…

“She’s with us, it’s okay, just a misunderstanding.”

Bette sighed with relief when the large man let go of her arm.

“Alright it looks like she’s been beaten pretty badly, someone get her vitals. Tina? Can you hear me Tina?”

“Yes…”

Tina spoke with such soft tones that it nearly broke Bette’s heart! 
As they rolled her back to ICU Bette felt her stomach become queasy again and then fainted…
