That same day – 3:40pm
Angus was driving Kit’s car. It had been a hoopty, on its last wheel before Ivan got his hands on it. Ivan had pimped her ride and turned it from a piece of barely drivable crap into something of great value. Kit loved this car, but not because it had been turned into an investment. She loved it because it had bench seats and that meant she could snuggle against Angus’ side. She could get real close to her man. Oh, good God, she thought, I just called him my man.
“What are you thinking, Kit?”
“I’m tired, but I’m wired,” she shook her head enthusiastically from side to side.
“Yeah, me, too. What do you wanna do?”
“This is gonna sound off the wall, but I wanna go see Tina. More than Bette, for years and years, she was there for me. I wanna go by and tell her about Nona and that I’m going to be recordin’ again. You know what I’m sayin’?”
“Yeah, you wanna share your good news. You should do that. Hey, you know what? Why don’t we play one of the songs for her? That song, Transformations is a good one.”
“You think?” Kit looked up at him with skepticism.
“It’s good as kind of a message song. It’s not your best, but I think people, especially those recovering from some of the problems we see at the Center will really like an uplifting song like that.”
“So you think the only people who will like Transformations have had some sort of brain injury?”
Angus turned to her, his mouth opening in surprise. “I did not say that. I totally did not say that.”
“I know. I’m kiddin’, Mangus.”
“Mangus?”
“My man, Angus.”
“I like.”
“It’s a transformation.”
“Kit, you’re slaphappy from sleep deprivation. We should just go home.”
“I am not. I wanna see Tina.”
“Okay, don’t pout. Those lips aren’t for pouting, they’re for kissin’.” He kissed the top of her head, then her lips, and continued driving down the street. “So, we can make it rock, Kit. Let’s do it. Maybe I can get some of the other patients together in the room to hear it. It’ll do them all good.”

Hey Portia, Another perfect and intriguing chapter; The start was promising and delightful as Bette and Tina got back to the honest and open emotions that their love and life together is based on. Their imitimate attraction and arousal was evident in every word you wrote. This was the ultimate reunion for these erstwhile lost souls. Then to have Stephanie ‘love fest’ with Dr. Henry as a counterpoint demonstrated the depth of Bette and Tina against the instant and shallow lust between Stephanie and her doctor. It was great to see Bette thanking her friends and family for all their support even if it did end prematurely and unpleasantly. The following scenes at the center were awesome and defiant Bette showed her true alpha self. Everyone was a target and hit with both barrels as Bette let loose. Unfortunately her desperation at caring for Tina although in Tina best physical health may not have been in her best mental health as Tina’s need to breast-feed her daughter is all-consumming and therefore Bette’s denial fo this act may drive them apart. I just get a sense the Stephanie et al. with take full advantage of this and turn Tina against Bette. Oh the massinations of your marvelous mind kep me guess at every turn. Helena and Dylan’s daliance was erotic and sensual as these gals act on raw passion. Many thanks for this fabulous fan fiction. I really can’t put it down once I start and have to read it through to the end even as that leads to disappointment that it is over for awhile so just have to reread it until the next installment. I have a supreme dislike for Stephanie – would it be to much to have her walk through a busy intersection and to make it extra fun lets blindfold the girl – she sucks! too violent? Just when Bette and Tina were reconnecting – I take it there’s an extra dose of drama ahead? As usual Great! chapter – you never disappoint.
Wow, that was a novel and a half! Intriguing, nailbiting, rivetting story. Somebody please squash Stephanie. Terrific chapter, as ever.

Another great update! You’ve done a great job characterizing the new characters you included.
hmmmm…It is obvious that Tina needs Bette to be Power of Attorney because she is unable to make decision regarding her health, however, I think the real criminal is Henry who took her off the medication and did not put it in the daily reports. And quite frankly, what does Leo or Franklin have to say in such a case…they should not even be called! Helena, I understand, same with Candace, but those two…N-O! It was nice to see them reconnect. I hope the seizure medication does not send Tina down the path of poor judgement and meandering thoughts. Post soon!
Oh no, don’t let Tina do something she’ll regret later. Bette’s hurt enough. But Bette should really control her temper and distinguish the ways to treat friends and enemies.

The scene in the hospital with Bette and Tina was EXCITING. WTF is up with Tina ? Is she angry that Bette put her back on the medication for her seizures ? I hope she doesn’t say or do anything stupid that put’s her bitch sister, Stephanie back in charge ? Great story. Don’t leave us hanging.
I love the wya your write Helena and Dylan. I can only hope for a better outcome for them than what occured in the real show. I hope Dylan comes to her senses about Danny. What does she need him for. She can get the girl, the money and the nookie.

Tina is gonna do something without thinking…she heard Bette yelling at Stephanie last night and took it wrong…I have a bad feeling about this. Thank you for posting…I love your long chapters.
Bette and Tina just can’t catch a break. First Stephanie tries to destroy them and now Tina has been turned against Bette somehow. Not good not good at all.
What gives with Tina in the Courtroom? Hopefully she is trying to throw Steph off a bit by not sitting with either her or Bette. This will be some hearing. Can hardly wait.
Where does one even begin to start to comment on such a chapter. This has run the gammet between emotions, I LOVED the reconnecting scene with tina, it was a surprise a beautiful surprise. There is so much love and tension surrounding this piece it’s making me crazy, I don’t know which way to think…Will bette be able to addopt?, how will the hearing go, will tina have to stay on her meds? You have given so much to everyone who love TLW, Sharmen, Danish, we are so lucky to have you writing for us…Pls let stephanie gets what she deserves…
You had me so hopeful at the begining of this chapter that things were finally going well for Bette and Tina. When Bette was giving her speach in the hospital about being in control, I thought to myself ‘will she ever freaking learn?’ Wonderful, fabulous, sexy, scary chapter. Can’t wait for the next installment. PS Stephanie is a bitch and I still don’t trust the mom :).
well i smell trouble and a whole lot of trouble. I wonder if Tina understood everything that Bette said in the hospital room because most of it left me wondering if bette had lost her ever loving mind. She should really learn to comunicate with Tina make decisions with Tina. Some sort of compromise could have been made yet Bette let her anger towards the devil spawn drive what she said and did. Tina now feels more inadequate and the devil spawn knows how to use that to her advantage. Its kind of funny I both look forwardto your postings and dread them, 29 pages is a lot and I’m not the type to half ass them. Helena is in so much trouble and she has no idea. Dana has a good woman waiting at home for her with porn that bound to motivate anybody. Thanks
Holy Hannah this was a great installment. I don’t know if my heart can stand the drama though,and now the suspense. The opening scene between Bette and Tina was outstanding. A million thanks for giving Henry to Stephanie and putting the horrible door scene offstage, so to speak. Also, your dialog for Helena is just perfect! This story is terrific, thank you!
WOW… i should of went to bed an hour ago… but i had to read thia… what a book… steph needs her ass kicked… tina needs to do this… and i hope tina doesn’t sit with steph… my heart fell when she came into the court room… i hope she knows bette is on her side and only wants the best for her… she was right she has all the time to breast feed her daughter… now she needs to get better… please let tina realize this… i hope the nurse talked to her and told her the same thing he told bette… loving this story… but please be careful with my tibette heart… they need to be together… please continue
It’s sad to say but I think that Tina is going to focus on the fact that she wanted to be able to breast feed Angelica and be off of the medication. Bette mad a HUGE misstake by letting Stephanie bait her into an argument in front of Tina while she was being medicated. We already know how the medication tends to screw with Tina’s sense of reality and therefore she will not be thinking clearly. :o(
