“No.. I’m sorry..” Bette shook her head from side to side, she liked art.. but she didn’t know any students from that program.
“That’s a pity, I think the two of you would hit it off. I’m so s-” The man paused as he looked at the doorway behind Bette and Melvin, his eyes as wide as his smile. “Well speak of the devil!” He beamed and stood up from his seat. “Excuse me for a moment..” He left his guests and disappeared to the adjacent room.
Taking advantage of the man’s absence, Bette took out her cell phone from within her purse and began composing a text message for Tina – just a little something to tell the blonde that she was greatly missed.
“Still got it bad, huh?” Melvin gave a sly and playful jab as he took a sip from his wine.
“Daddy!” Bette admonished in horror, hiding her mobile and the mushy message it contained from the man’s prying eyes. God, that was embarrassing! “Stop being so snoopy!”
To this, Melvin just chuckled.
“Honey, you remember the Porters right?” William waltzed back into the dining room – guiding a young woman inside.
“Of course.” Bette heard a sweet sounding voice speak up as she hurriedly finished typing her message to Tina, too distracted to look up.
“Mel, this is now my Jillian, all grown up as well..” William re-introduced his daughter to his friend.
“Good evening Uncle Melvin..” The woman greeted her father with a polite kiss on the cheek.
“Why don’t you join us?” Melvin motioned to the spare chair beside William’s.
“Is it okay? I’m not interrupting something important, am I?”
“Not at all.” William smiled and pulled a chair for his only daughter.
Successfully pressing the send button, Bette looked up from her hiding her cell phone inside her purse and came face to face with the newest arrival. Her brows jumped to her forehead in surprise, she wasn’t expecting to see a looker tonight. No offense to the man who was supposed to be TPR Hotels’ savior, but he surely didn’t look like someone who would have the right genes to be responsible for the beauty gliding towards the seat across from her. The girl looked to be about her age with big green eyes and silky red hair that cascaded down to her shoulders like a fiery ocean. Though Tina would always be her standard for beauty, this girl was a stunner, she would have to admit. Realizing that she must be gawking judging from the amused expression on the redhead’s face, she cleared her throat and flashed one of her dazzling smiles – trying to cover up for her momentary lapse.
“Hi, I’m Bette Porter.” She extended a hand over the bread basket and the glasses of wine between them.
“Jill Grisham.” The girl smiled back and took Bette’s hand in hers for a brief yet firm handshake. “It’s been a long time. Its nice to finally see you again..”

Okay, I know she had it coming, but you had me feeling sorry for Kate. Suicidal, yes, but you have to admire someone who follows their heart, even if it gets their poor gibson smashed. You smashed a gibson! What is wrong with you? Thanks for the post, good luck on the foreign studies.
I love the way Bette loves Tina. I love a jealous Bette, and maybe a jealous Tina, But I love Bette and Tina the most. Please don’t let anyone come between them…
I love the fun and giggles. I love the loyal friends. I love the banter among the F4 and Tina. I love Bette with Melvin. I love Bette’s sense of dedication to the Porter companies. Most of all, I love besotted Bette. Well, maybe that isn’t quite right. Most of all I love your story. 40 pages? 400 pages next time!!!!!
Kate is very lucky, her instrument took the anger instead. we got rid of Kate Alch, Now its Jill ‘s turn. Tina will kill her for sure lol. This post was great, very funny as well. Can’t wait for the next

So glad to see an update to my Fav Fic. Great job by the way…Kate has some nerve signing to Tina & I love dhow Bette took care of the situation…so sexy. So now Tina ha ssomeone afetr her & I believe Bette will to with this Grisham lady…I smell trouble. Loved it!!!!!
Had to hold my breath the entire time Bette was confrontating the hobbit. That was hot beyond words..aherm. And seems like there are third parties all over the place…reminds me of a text message a friend sent me…it said something like “Not all parties are fun – by Third Party”.LMFAOL
Uhhh Ohhh, I take it that Jillian and Bette have met in the past. Not a good sign on Bette’s behalf. Kate is so lucky that Bette promised Tina to not kill her. Now we get to see a jealous Tina.
“Something she can’t – and probably won’t ever give her.” this is such an open statement, seems like Tina is curious…then again who won’t be. And then at the end of the chappy we have Bette who is facing temptation now. Man will they won’t they??!! It would be fun to see the drama if they both did. PPS
Hmmm…that just had alittle bit of everything to it! I so totally love jealous Bette (I remember the jealous Bette cookie..hehe!) Too many good scenes to comment on but I think you know my faves by now (maybe in a PM) Thank you for the funny Bette & Sam,they are delightful together. But of course the pouting Bette and “…” were my favorite piece. And now another hmmm on the horizon with Jillian? A jealous Tina is even better than a jealous Bette..this will be so fun. This story is the perfect antidote to rainy day blues. So funny… Kate’s been warned off, probably forever (I’ll admit to feeling sorry for her guitar though), now Tina’s maybe going to have to warn this Jill (*great* name, btw! ;) ) off her woman. Can’t wait for your next post, Alchemy. Thanks!

Your dialogue and style of writing is such a treat to read! So damn funny, as well as sexy and tender. The banter in the art gallery had me in tears and the giggles continues from there. I did feel bad for Kate though… especially with the guitar smashing. But how can anyone not love your Bette?? You seem to be brewing quite a bit of drama though… Kate…Jill…the nightmares… Can’t wait for your next post and here’s hoping for the 40+ pages!
Let me say this. I like a lot jealous Bette and I love jealous Tina! But I adore this couple together. And with Kate and Jill… well I smell trouble? I hope they will be together in the end. Anyway, about the chapter I laughed a lot with “…” and the conversation between F4. For another chapter you rivet our attention and thank you for that. You are incredible.
