“Why do you say that?” Shane looks at her girlfriend and shrugs her shoulders in the same fashion

“Just Tina is looking for a new dress, which she never does unless she’s going somewhere special or she’s going to a work party etc” Carmen knew her girlfriend was right. Tina only ever went shopping for special occasions

“You don’t think that she has something planned do you?” Panic set in. Shane and Carmen looked at each other then back at Tina, who was still trying on dresses

“Fuck” they said in sync. Shane pulled out her mobile and phoned Alice

“Pedeski” Alice was going to be mad as hell and very nervous about what Shane was about to tell her

“Al its Shane I think Bette’s special night is in jeopardy” Alice looks over to Bette with a nervous look on her face. Bette shakes her head and mouths:-

‘‘What” Alice holds her hand up to stop Bette from saying anything

“Tina is dress shopping which only means one thing” Alice runs her hand down her face and sighs heavily

“She’s got something planned” Bette’s eyes widen when she realises what Alice and Shane are talking about. She shakes her head. Bette quickly gets her phone out of her pocket and Alice shakes her head “Thanks Shane we’ll come up with something” Alice ends the call and looks at Bette, who was standing looking very nervous “Maybe she has a work thing or something” Bette shakes her head

“She would have told me” Bette sits down in on her the chairs she had placed around the gallery and sighs heavily

“Hang on a minute” Alice dials Tina’s number. She picks up on the third ring

“Hey Al what’s up” Bette looks up at Alice and gulps hard

“Hey Tina what you up to” Tina didn’t detect the nervousness in Alice’s voice

“I’m dress hopping I have a work thing next month and I need a new dress” Alice breathes a quiet sigh of relief. ‘Thank fuck for that” Alice thought, she gives a thumbs up and Bette breathes a sigh of relief

“OK, hey why don’t I meet you at your place later so I can give you a few pointers on what to wear for tonight because you did say you wanted to dress appropriately” Bette closes her eyes and imagines what Tina was going to look like tonight when she arrives at the gallery. Knowing Alice she would make sure Tina would look damn sexy and totally irresistible

“Sure that would be great, I was gonna tell Bette tonight about the work thing, I just hope she can make it” Alice was about to reply when Tina spoke again “I gotta go I have just found the perfect dress” Alice chuckles and shakes her head

“K see you later TK” Alice hangs up and breathes a huge sigh of relief “You’re in the clear Porter” Bette couldn’t be more relieved “She’s got a work thing next month she was gonna tell you tonight” Bette couldn’t be more thankfully

“Thank fuck for that” Alice and Dana smile at each other

“Maybe I could get her to wear her ‘perfect’ dress that she blew me off for just now” Bette smiles and nods

“Please do I can just imagine her now, walking through that door and looking like a complete knockout” Alice and Dana shake their heads

“OK Porter stop day dreaming and get this place finished whilst I go over to Tina’s to help her look perfect for tonight” With that Alice exits the gallery leaving Bette and Dana to finish getting the gallery ready

“And I wonder why I love her so much” Bette smiles at Dana and shakes her head

“Ok Fairbanks let’s get this finished so you can help me get ready” Dana nods and they continue to decorate the gallery. It was going to be amazing.
