Chapter 18: “Come on this gallery won’t decorate itself”

12 months later

Tonight was the one year anniversary of Bette and Tina becoming a couple and Bette had big plans for the evening. Tina eventually moved in to Bette’s place a few weeks after they got back from New York but their relationship had not been a smooth road. They had overcome all kinds of problems. Tina had a cancer scare, Bette’s father died, a near breakup and more recently Tina’s mother suffered a stroke but they had struck by each other and found strength in each other’s love.

“So what you guys doing for your one year anniversary?” Bette was at the gallery ‘working’ whilst Tina was taking her day off. She was hoping to spend it with Bette but she had to ‘work’ so she was at the Planet with Alice, Dana, Shane and Shane’s girlfriend Carmen. Carmen was great. She was so right for Shane. She had a bubbly personality and a big heart.

“Quiet night in with a movie then probably a sex marathon” the gang look at Tina with disbelief and shock on their faces. Tina glances from one to another with a smirk on her face

“Did we really need to know that” Tina shakes her head and smiles. She loved to wind Alice and the gang up. Ever since that day Alice started talking about their sex lives and both herself and Bette getting embarrassed she had been getting Alice back for it

“I thought it was your business to know about your friends’ sex lives Al or have you learned to shut it when it comes to that subject” the others look at Alice, who just takes a drink of her coffee. Tina’s phone vibrates in her pocket. She takes out of her pocket and opens the text message. Dana knew who it was by the huge smile

“Hi babe, going to be l8 tonite I have some paperwork that needs doin. Culd u cum by and pick me up around 8? I had to put my car into the garage this morning and it wont b ready till 2moro. Luv u B” Tina texts her reply. Saying she will be there at 8 to pick Bette up. She hated the fact Bette had to ‘work’ on their anniversary
