    Tina helps out Bette

    Tina: Of course Ill do it.

    Bette: Great! And we are still on for Friday night right?

    Tina: Right! Its a date! Tina realized what she said after she said it. *****! How could I let that slip! Good one Tinaway to put yourself out there! she said to herself. She just stood there blushing looking at Bette.

    Bette: Date? Did she just say date? Compose yourself Porterits a common phrase, everyone uses itit doesnt have to mean anythingor does it? Bette could tell Tina was embarrassed and took it upon herself to lighten the mood. Date huh? You think your partner would be okay with that? Did that just come out of my mouthshit! Why did I just say that? Bette smiled back at Tina, hoping to recover from what she said, and partly hoping Tina would answer her with a response that she wanted.

    Tina: What? Noshe wouldnt mind it. Tina could see Bettes expression change. I mean she wouldnt mind it because we arent together any more. Tina was thankful that she recoveredBettes face lit up.

    Bette: Bette felt a tugging at her side. Jenna was waiting for her and was growing impatient. Okay Jenna, lets go. Say goodbye to Ms. Kennard. Jenna looked up at Bette with a weird expression on her face.

    Tina: Actually Bette, the kids call me Ms. T Tina smiled at Bette and Jenna.

    Bette: Bette chuckled Well then Ms. T, I should get Jenna home so she can do her homework and so I can make dinner.

    Tina: Wow, it sounds like youve got your plate full. Dont you have anyone to help you? This made Bette smile. She knew what Tina was fishing for and decided to give her what she wanted.

    Bette: NopeIm all alone T. Jenna here is the only girl in my life right now. Bette looked down at Jenna and winked at her. we better get going.

    Tina: Tina was so excited and amazed that Bette wasnt with anyone. Right of course. Tina walked Bette and Jenna outside. She gave Bette a friendly hug Ill call you when I hear from Alice and Ill see you on Fridayhopefully before that if everything goes according to plan. Tina smiled at Bette, reluctant to pull away from the mocha skinned beauty.

    Bette: Its a date. Bette gave Tina a wink and a smile, took Jennas hand and walked home, excited and scared about what was yet to come.
