    It was a Tuesday night

It was a Tuesday night.  Shane was feeling restless.  She’d finished work rather late, at 9 o’clock.  She grabbed some takeout on her way home and jumped in the shower to remove the residue of the day.

By 10 she was walking into Milk and feeling thirsty for a Corona.  She ordered at the bar and took a look around.  Of course there were the usual faces, the regulars you find at any neighborhood establishment; casual acquaintances, bar staff, the bouncer.  She gave polite hellos to women who approached her.  Her demeanor and body language expressed, without further discussion, her desire not to be approached.  Shane’s nonverbal cues stated loud and clear that if she wanted to talk to you, she’d let you know.

She looked toward the end of the bar and in the subdued lighting noticed, for the first time, that Helena was there and in conversation with a handsome, stylishly dressed man probably in his mid thirties.  After a moment they shook hands and he headed for the door.

An avid student of human nature, Shane silently observed Helena who didn’t get up to leave but in fact, placed another order with the bartender.  As she brought her martini glass to her lips Helena lifted her gaze and noticed Shane noticing her.  She smiled and tipped her head while raising her glass just enough to make clear an invitation to come and join her.

“Helena, pretty rare to see you here this late on a weeknight?”

“Well Shane I had one final business meeting that concluded a rather hellish day and thought I’d indulge in a little stress relief before I head home.”

    “I hear ya.”

“Can I get you something Shane?”

“Sure, I’ll have another Corona.  Thank you.”

“So my dear, how are you doing on this fine evening?”

“I don’t know if my day was as “hellish” as yours but it was long and I’d pretty much had my fill of catering to the whims of bored, rich housewives who needed to change their look once again.”

“Hmm…that could get tedious.  Serving the idle, empty headed and wealthy…and let’s not forget beautiful.”

    “Ha ha…yes”

    1. Ok, not gonna lie, I’m pretty thrown by this combo. Don’t get me wrong, you write an amazing NC-17… I just… I’m having a hard time wrapping my mind around Shane and Helena together.

    2. As your #1 Fan of “DRENCHED”, I decided to read this because you are a fabulous writer. (Amazing at NC-17) When I realized this was going to be about Shane and Helena, I was skeptical. Helena is HOT, but Shane is rail thin and doesn’t do much for me. But as I continued to read, you managed to work your LACOOP magic and I enjoyed it. I’m a TIBETTE die hard, but I look forward to reading more about your new coupling. PPS.

    3. One more thing….who dared you to put these two together in a story ? Come on Lacoop you can tell me….I won’t tell…LOL! Glad to see your back writing.

    4. Enjoyed the chapter and if you do more I’ll check it out, but really not too wild about either party. If Gwyneth Paltrow is “Shane’s” cousin, I suspect Olive Oyl is one from the other side of the family. And Rachshell? Well, just never has been engaging as far as I’m concerned. Neck’s kind of short, too. But hey, all God’s children deserve to have fun, so let ’em have it.

    5. As always with you, absolutely incredible. And totally believable. I don’t think I’ve read a pairing of these two together. I like it. A lot. Shane is always a good one to teach us all something new. (just a future thought–and only you could pull it off, what if Bette said yes in Washington? I bet that senator has a kinky side to her) Anyway, just a crazy thought, but I’m loving this. You truly are the best at this.

    6. It’s funny but earlier this week I thought Helena and Shane and shuddered, no way. As I read your story I could believe it. Looking forward to the rest of this unexpected and unlikely coupling

    7. Alright alright yes I did not leave a comment the first time I read this, but I’m leaving one now. PLEASE POST!!! I’m dying to read the rest of this. I think it’s hot and your doing an amazing job.
