"Our daughter, Tina. And Helena’s not a ‘random woman’. Okay? If you hadn’t have left her before the baby was born, you would’ve totally let her raise Angelica with you. Don’t act like you wouldn’t. I don’t have time to argue, okay? If you have anything to say about Angelica, we can end this conversation." Hearing the silence Bette spoke back up, "Have a good day Tina."

She placed the phone down. As soon as she was able to stomach Tina, she turned around and did something stupid. Tina had been doing this for the past two years. Bette honestly gave up on Tina ever forgiving her for Candace, so maybe this was another form of punishment. What did she care about Shane anyway? She hadn’t seen Shane in months, or anybody else for that matter.

"Bette, Helena Peabody on line one."

"Thanks." Bette picked up the phone, "Hello?"

"Is your head splitting like mine? Because I feel like someone just slapped me over the head with a pillowcase full of bricks."

Bette chuckled, "Yes, but I took some medicine."

"Did Tina happen to call you this morning?"

"Yeah, why?"

"She called me and went off on me about you and me. I guess she saw us somewhere."

"Maybe. Would you like to go out to dinner tonight? I think we need to talk."

"I’d love to go to dinner with you. Have a good day, Bette. Call me when you get out of the office."

"Will do."

"So, tell me how you found Bette and Kit." Carmen asked. They were in Carmen’s bedroom, lying on the bed and listening to old records. Megan’s nose was burrowed in the pillow. She could smell Helena’s shampoo in it. It was intoxicating. Her first time with a girl, or at least this is what she was hoping this relationship would become eventually.

"I just looked up our father’s records and googled the rest of it." Megan smiled. Smug. She was proud of herself for being able to track these women down.

"Ambitious. God, you truly are a Porter. How’s your relationship with them?"

"Its starting to get good. I’m staying with Bette and Kit’s so awesome….I love them. It’s like God created us for each other, you know? We balance each other and we stick up for each other. This guy was trying to hit on me and we all jumped on him. He ran out of the club scared."

The two women laughed at the thought of a man being scared of three women, gentle looking but with a ferocity that was known only to forces of nature.

"You’re really lucky to have them." Carmen looked deeply into Megan’s eyes. Megan was a good-looking girl. Through her clothing, you could see how toned she was from just dancing alone. She had the perfect dancer’s body. Her skin almost glowed and her eyes were ambitious, sexy, and innocent at once. Carmen thanked her lucky stars that she had met someone as beautiful as Megan, especially since this would be the first person she’d been with since Shane, "Have you ever been with a girl before?"

"If I said no, would you look at me differently?" Megan asked, scared at first, but slowly starting to lose her fear.

"No."

"Then the answer is no."

"What about a guy?"

"Once."

"How do you expect to please a woman then, Megan, if you’ve never been with one?" Carmen teased. Megan moved closer to her, looking her deeply in the eyes. She began to smile, placing her body over Carmen’s. Where did all this ambition come from, one could only guess that this was a Porter trait.

"I guess I’ll have to rely on expert guidance." She winked.

Carmen reached for the back of Megan’s head, "It would be my pleasure." She brought her lips to Megan’s.

Megan thought about how quick this was going, but let that thought leave her mind as she felt the tingle and heat between her thighs.
