Is it Finally The End of The Road – Followup Chapter 1

It was time to start moving on with her life…time to work on getting her self-esteem out of the gutter where it had landed after yesterday’s devastating conversation. It was time to start rebuilding the shattered remains of her heart. And, if some day Tina wanted to again be apart of her heart? Well, she would just have to see where she was in her life when or if that time ever came about. But, she refused to wait around begging for scraps. She was a strong, independent, attractive woman…and no matter what her past mistakes had been…she was also a woman who was capable of loving one woman for life. Who that woman would be…she will just have to leave that up to fate.

"Mr. Stevens, Bette Porter is here."

    "Thank you Julie."

Bette looked up from her magazine after hearing the receptionist announcing her. She turned to stare once again at the closed office door, waiting for it to open. And, for the fourth time, she read the name plate mounted to the right of the door. "Donald Stevens, Senior Vice President"

As, she reread the name, the door finally opened, and a middle aged man stepped out into the small reception area. Seeing Bette, he immediately smiled and walked toward her, causing her to stand in reaction.

    "Bette Porter?"

"Yes, hello Mr. Stevens. It is nice to meet you." She reached out to shake his hand.

"Bette, it is a pleasure." He continued, as he ushered her into his office. "I can’t tell you how excited I was to hear you had decided to come in for this interview. Please come in."

And, as the door closed, the receptionist picked up her ringing phone. "Good afternoon, Citibank Appraisals and Acquisitions, how may I help you?"

    Chapter two

“Ah,  Dr. Dan…how are you this morning?” Dr. Emily Fisher asked, smiling at Dan Foxworthy as he emerged from his office.

“Good morning Dr. Fisher. I am well thank you, and you?” Dan Foxworthy smiled at his office mate to soften the formality of his words.

“I’ve had a triple mocha with whip this morning, so I am ready to solve all the world’s problems.” Emily Fisher chuckled as the two psychotherapists met behind the receptionist’s desk.

    1. i don’t remember reading this before and as much as i hated season 3, i’m glad you gonna post again because i know you’ll make it better…but something wrong with the format and last 10 pages are a bunch of gibberish LOL

    2. I remember this from before because I’ve read everything you’ve written on this site. I LOVE your writing and I’m glad you are continuing this story. Season 3 caused MUCH anger…and physical illness….for me just like it did for everyone with a heart and brain! I hope you will continue to give us updates…revisits…to If It’s Meant To Be as well. It’s one of 3 or 4 that I re-read just for the hell of it. It always makes me feel good when I’m finished. Again, I’m glad you’re posting again and hope that you’re able to do so regularly. Many thanks for sharing with us.

    3. Ohhh!! And thanks for getting ZuZu’s Petals to update her story too. I loved it and was disappointed that it wasn’t finished. I have anymore to look forward to! Thank you!

    4. Wasn’t season 3 the biggest abuse of the viewers psyche! I just dreaded seeing what the writer’s were going to throw out there next. I know you will help alleviate some of that angst with a story that makes some sense! Thank you and please post soon.

    5. Welcome back Seahurst – I know we are in for a treat. Off to a great start, even with my disappointment that the final 6 pages were not, in fact, part of the story :-(

    6. OMG…I am an emotional mess right now. I may even have to reread it…Wow…It is so amazing to have you back…Thank you…and PLEASE post again soon.

    7. Wow this is intense. I like it. A little season three with a little season five mixed in, very nice. Hope it all works out in the end. I like stories like this that deal with their thought process and emotions. I like the way Bette dealt with it. Better than she did in the series. You should never tell people bad new when you are in bed together. Bed should be for sleep and happy memory making. So please keep it coming and I’ll keep on reading. Thanks PPVS

    8. I do remember the story and I am glad to see it back. By the way I’m also pleased to see you! I look forward to reading this story again and also to it being finished thank you very much!

    9. YES!!!!! Thank you Seahurst!! Bette is finally out of that Citibank office and two years removed from that heartbreaking morning. I hated that you left them in that state… (obviously) And what a fantastic deliverance…Can’t wait to see where you go but honestly, anything is better than where they were.Also- thank you so much for your ‘author’s comments’ – i am beyond flattered- (and feeling the pressure!! LOL!) Thanks so much again for writing.

    10. Oh I remember this, especially the last sentence about the bank. God I hated season 3 but adding a little season 5 may do wonders afterall. It´s so nice to see your name on the site again.

    11. At first I was thinking, something I don’t do ofter, maybe I will just skip this story. I have no words for the hated season 3. Then I continued to read, I realized that brought you a little of season 5 into this saga. Now I think that I will have the ability to continue reading this story.

    12. OOhhh love this!! So did the second chapter start a few years after the first? I wasn’t sure. I hope you can bring these two back together with your wonderful writing!

    13. Ooohh, love this one Sea!!! What a great way to pick this one up where it left off. One question though, do they normally see each other when handing off Angelica, so the surprise is just to see each other in this place? Can’t wait to read more! : )

    14. Great start, Seahurst ! I just love it when these two really get to talk to one another ( which didn’t happen often in the show ;) ) and I kinda like the idea that they get stuck in the elevator together, for some reason… ;)

    15. Great story and I am so glad to see you here again. I hate reliving any of B and T from S3 but I like the broken elevator…….more soon please!

    16. I did not watch season three myself, just had the feeling of it on the site and knew it wasn’t pretty at all. I hated it too, still do though. Thank you for rectifying what Showtime had screwed up, I am sure you will lol. There are ETERNITY!!!PPVS

    17. Hey Sea, Glad that you are back writing. You were so wonderfully supportive when I started writing — I sometimes think that if you hadn’t commented as you did on Chiaroscuro, I would never have continued. So back at you! I know how busy you are so it means even more that you are writing for us.

    18. Yea, you’re back! This seems like a a combination of S3 and S5 w/the two of them getting stuck in the elevator. Whatever it is, it is certainly amazingly written.

    19. Hey Seahearst, Thank you for reposting this tormented tale. The hurt between Bette and Tina is immense and so palpable. I really do hope that they can find their way back to each other and the life they shared. Angie needs her parents.Seahearst, you make my heart break reading this story.Thank you so much and please continue soon.Your Loyal Fan.
