Intervention – Chpt 4
Previously
“No, more importantly, Bette, you haven’t eaten,” Peggy replied, turning on her heels. She cast a look over her shoulder. “Ta Ta!” she bid, casting a wink at her daughter. “See you soon.”
Helena reached for her drink and downed it. She closed her eyes. She felt the elixir bath her tongue, her throat, her insides. ‘Liquid courage’ they called it.
Opening her eyes, she met Bette’s curious gaze.
“Well.” Helena said awkwardly.
“Yes…’Well’…” Bette returned in kind.
After several contemplative moments Helena spoke again.
“So, Bette?”
“Yes,” Bette answered, drawing her esses out long.
“Why were you and Mummy discussing my pussy when I arrived?”
Chapter 4
“Fuck!” Bette exclaimed, nearly choking on the shrimp she had hastily bitten. She coughed and quickly picked up her napkin, placing it over her mouth. She inconspicuously ejected the offending morsel in the cloth and lowered it to the table.
Helena watched Bette’s contorted face with concern in her eyes. She reacted immediately, reaching for Bette’s water glass and offering it to her lips.
“Drink this, darling,” Helena urged, leaning over to gently pat Bette on her back.
Bette continued to cough and to sputter.
The Maître d’, upon hearing the commotion, rushed to the ladies’ table, preparing to perform the Heimlich maneuver.
An embarrassed Bette took the water from Helena’s hand and slowly drank as her body calmed.
“Are you all right, mademoiselle?” the Maître d’ inquired, leaning over Bette.
“Yes, yes,” she coughed for the last time. “I’m fine. Thank you. Really. Please return to your business,” she pled, taking another sip.
“She’ll be all right,” Helena said, looking up reassuringly at the anxious Maître d’. “Thank you for your concern.”
The Maître d’ excused himself with a bow and insisted that they request his assistance, without hesitation, at any time that they may require it during their evening.
Bette took a deep breath and relaxed back in her chair. Helena leaned back in her chair as well, relieved that the potential crisis was averted.

Yay I’m first and yay yay yay you kept your word and posted (doing happy dance) This chapter was both awesome and hilarious my dear. Oh my that waiter, can you be even more stupid hahaha. And Bette definitely is in trouble lol, wonder if she’s gonna get her massage post haste (grin). Thanks for posting sweetie :)
Oh I had a fluffy too!!! Get the kitty. Get the kitty. Now as for this impromptu meeting.I think they should screw with the waiter and ask for the anti-post haste.
I can’t see Bette scooping up kitty doody. She better get the self-cleaning litterbox…..all you have to do is pop out the tray full of doody, throw it away and pop a new empty one in.
zheese what are you thinking makeing Bette and Helena eat that kind of fish, I’m not much of a Belena fan but even I would’nt make em eat that. Thats even more funny than “post haste” Thank you, Md
Doody does happen! Wait till she finds out how STINKIE it can be! LOL Post. Haste.
ha…i don’t know zheese, the word doody makes me giggle…good post…i hope you have plenty of post haste on hand because i expect an update
hilarious!!!! They worked the poor waiter to death…totally enjoyed it!!!
I stay with my original comment that I don’t think it’s right to leave a small kitten home alone all day. But my solution works for me!
Zheese you are absolutely wicked. Helena is going to seduce Bette before Bette has any idea what has hit her (not that I’m complaining or anything). So I guess Peggy’s plan is working out perfectly! If only they could get rid of that silly waiter. PPS!
Caeleigh I habve had many cats over the years going from little kitty’s to very old ones and in my experience a cat can better stay home alone than a dog cause when a cat doesn’t go outside to chase mice or others things it sleeps 70% of the day. Bette’s kitty wouldn’t even notice she won’t be there durng the day :)
Yeah! A kitty! Loving the story…I’m still uncertain of the relationship between these two — friendly? reconnecting? what’s happening Zheese? We need more! PPS
Oh Z, I sure did love the ending and that Gracon sure is a dimwit,,hahaha,,,great chapter as always!!
Bette is old enough to know doody happens. Diapers have to be way worse than a litter box, much more ‘hands on’. At least a cat won’t be offended if you put on gloves. And be fair to the waiter, ignorance is not the same as stupid, although they can certainly coexist.
Now Z, what did this waiter or one of his ilk ever do to you, that you would treat him so harshly? I am with funny, I don’t think it’s too sporting of those who are privileged to amke sport of those just trying to make a buck. In regard to the kitten, the question is not who will take care of it when Angelica isn’t there, but who will take care of it when Bette isn’t there, like all day every day?? You can’t leave a small kitten home alone all day! Luckily, I have solved this dilemma. Bette and Helena should stay home and tend the kitten… and each other..post haste! ha ha ha
